The Flux Report: Round 17: The Goodes, The Bad & The Fugly

Post: # 1567819Post AeonFlux »

Let me guess…………. No Rodger? (Sigh. :( ) Ok then.

Seems more of the same from our beloved Sainters.

Needs work:
Fantastic manic pressure (that doesn’t need work), but still too often failing to convert.

Take that first quarter. Should have been a carbon copy of the one against Hawthorn. We dominated but failed to convert early. Fortunately the joke (aka) the Melbourne FC also failed to convert. So we hit the break with a lead that reflected our dominance. (Sigh of relief.)

We are too tall up forward IMH assessment. I was very pleasantly surprised that we got away with that on Sunday. Especially as Paddy is so slow, Roo's various leg issues can't be helping his speed, and Josh the Bruce looks like he's carrying something.…….. seems to have lost pace(?) Does anyone have any intel to confirm this???

Our key forwards still need to spread more.

Our mids still need to watch the replay of the drug game and kick to the player making the best lead, not to the best player making a lead! ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Needs work, but was pleasing:
Paddy! Took marks on a wet day. And when he didn’t, brought the ball to ground and kept it in the vicinity. That match was a huge step forward. (Though best to look the other way when a certain goal square snap comes up on the replay. )

Hugh. Looked totally at home! It can only be assumed that his red vest was because he likes the colour, and Eli needed a run. (Though maybe Hugh’s fitness to wade though the mud for four quarters could also have been a factor?)
If he can play out the season, I’m predicting noticeable improvement with each game. In season 2016………… look out!

WELLA! WELLA! WELLA! 8-)

Doesn’t need much work:
How well is Robbo' playing!!!!! :D :D :D
That time when he was kicking in and his team mates burned him by offering nothing to kick to. (Third quarter, I think, maybe the last?) Confined to the goal square, he managed to balk his man, and fit in the little clear-the-boot kick, before taking off and delivering nicely up field. Incredible play!!! Yet not a word from the commentators(!)
He's surprisingly quick, and not too damn far off an elite kick. (At worst.) In fact, keep this form up and Dylan won’t be not too damn far off an elite player. (At worst.) And, he's another one whom we got for free. It was feared that Dylan's ankle had him cooked, but he's back, and better than ever. :D

Our manic pressure and tackling. OH YEAH BABY!!!!!

Gotta love the irony. (Actually, no):
A world record 327 frees paid in that game……………………. Yet the scumpires didn’t manage to spot even one of the instances when our key forwards were held, blocked, infringed, handcuffed to a tree, shot at, by the Melbourne defence. Not one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The scumpiring was so DAMN bad in respect to our forwards and their human rights abuses suffered, that there is even grainy footage of what appears to be a certain D-Grade Ammo’s identity spilling his beer in mild disbelief. (This footage is however still being studied to confirm its authenticity.)

Gotta love the irony. (Actually, yes.):
Some intel analysts here still don’t rate S Dempster!?! Nearly cooked? The bloke has been on a slow burn for several years now and is just warming up. A star!!! :D

And Agent K’s man Gears, is in career best form. Looking very assured down back, and has really tidied up his kicking too. You go Gears!!!!

Gotta love the irony. (Actually.):
From one of our senior intel analysts…………… who is also one of our more ‘forthright’:
“In the meantime, attempt to show some respect for views not your own instead of hectoring and shouting down because you haven't the perspicacity to understand the arguments.”
(Spotted than one just in the Nick of time to include it in this report.)

Just gotta love:
“There are however too many on here that move from opinions to aspersions, and that brings sensible conversation to a grounding halt.”

Now that’s THE goods.

This week’s opposition player to bag (but not boo, just laugh at):
Sadly the absence of Tyrone Vickory last week robbed us of this.............. and of the game. :(

This week though, more than makes up for it. Spoilt for choice in fact.

Of course there was butter boy Watts. One can always pencil him in. He’s a given.

However, this week butter boy also had his little butter boy junior mate Garlett to share the ignominy.

But wait. There’s more.

A very special mention must go to the artist formerly known as Harry. Playing on a fourth gamer who was lacking in confidence, who is slow, and, in the wet…………. the artist formerly known as Harry proved that he can no longer play as he was formerly known to play. I was fearing havoc from that match up. But no.

Seems the former Harry really is a ‘former’.

(Please note, I'm not referring here to this agency's beloved harryM. :D BTW, where are you harry? :D Gone deep under cover? :D )

Changes:
Members in for Roo. Roo needs a rest, and Members needs games to settle in as our third marking forward. And Members………….. if in range…………… TAKE THE BLOODY SHOT MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!! (Thank you.)

Mackenzie in for Webster. Jimmy’s ribs need a rest, and MacKenzie needs games. He was improving noticeably with each game before.

Next in line – Seb and Minch.

Look out Port!!! Your season is in peril. The Saintas are coming……….. COMING FOR YOU, YOU FLAKEY TEAL WOOD DUCKS!!!!!!

Thoughts Sainters?

Thoughts, Rodger?

Rodger? Come back. Promise not to boo you honey.

Still looking.............................................. :?
