Tom bloody Lee!!!

You can actually bloody well play! You can play a significant role in securing our next flag(s). And as that mobile third marking forward! (Forget that backline crap. Ok, unless it's an occasional piece of pinch-hitting.)

The clubs given you every opportunity... that surgery was because you were seen as being more important to the Saintas' premiership chances, than the importance of Sandy's premiership chances. So don't be p'd-off about that... take it for the compliment and declaration of faith (in YOU) that it was.

Time to pull the proverbial out Tom! You can be a key multi-premiership player! Do you want it?

Want it badly enough???

It's not just if he's got a good kick - we know from his set shots on goal that he can kick nice straight kicks. But how does that kicking translate as defender. How does it hold up under pressure, how quick can he get the ball to boot with guys trying to run him down - forward pressure is getting more full on each year. How quick does his brain work in the heat, what's his decision making like, does he have the cold-bloodedness to execute under pressure that defenders need. Can he maintain good kicking in the 3rd and 4th quarters when he's tired. Can he kick it flat enough to give his team-mates the edge. All that is very different to having a calm 30 seconds while having a shot on goal. All questions that need answering.
You obviously haven't seen him at Sandy!
He consistently hits teammates with flat 50 to 60 metre kicks right across the ground, and seems to do it more in the last quarter, when the chasers are knackered.

Disappointing today that Paddy was injured in the first qtr meaning Lee didnt get to showcase his skills in defence. Really threw our structures out having Paddy go down.

I thought Lee looked good early. He took a beautiful kick out where he drilled it over the 50 to Paddy who almost marked it - text book stuff. He seems comfortable kicking out as he can pass the ball well. Gave away a goal with a hugely risky kick inboard but thats the learning process. The defence was really shuffled around all day so that made it hard for them to get any rhythm going on our backline. Lee should get another go in one of the two next NAB cups in a stronger team to try and cement a place.

I don't think he had a possession in the first quarter. Will certainly get at least one more game and he is ahead of Delaney and close to Goddard. Fisher is ahead of all of them still unfortunately.

The striking thing about Lee is he has had 7 AFL pre-seasons but still has the physique of a country footy player.
He should be an adonis by now.

Gilbo and Tom Lee are options to move forward if required, particularly when our forwards bar Ross struggle to get off their defender. Tom did this in his earlier years at the club. Needs to performa this year without injury or its over.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Thought he looked good. Spoilt well in contests and lead out and kicked the goal in one of his few chances. Think he offers a bit at either end.
