Rod Butterss

I am not sure if anyone else noticed this and I have waited some time to post it, but there was a death notice in The Age about 2 weeks ago for Rod and Yvonne Butterss. I cannot confirm that it is genuine and I have seen nothing else reported. I do not know the circumstances as it is unusual for two people to die together. Nor am I wanting to speculate. It is documented that Rod had alcohol, financial and other issues. Instead I want to acknowledge his love of the Saints, the efforts he made to make us super competitive. Despite the Blight debacle and even because of it we enjoyed an era from 2004 to 2011 gave us 4 genuine years in which we could have grabbed our second flag. If this was a genuine death notice. RIP ROD.

I have no idea even who Yvonne is - whether a new wife or daughter. No idea whether it was a car accident or another accident or done on purpose. I don't even know it is him or a false ad. Hoping someone else knows and clear it up. I hope he is alive and well to be honest.

Wasnt him. I heard him on the radio recently saying he was off the booze and had recovered from his problems. Not saying he couldnt have relapsed but seems unlikely.
