I think we'll have problems containing Gawn. Hickey tried hard in the NAB Challenge game but Holmes was the reason the tapouts for us improved.
Going in with just Hickey could get ugly in that dept.
If we do maybe we need to really sit on their midfielders. Especially Jones.
Could Geary do a shut down job on him ?
Jones can carve a hole in a weak midfield given the chance.

We took Paddy and plenty of well credentialed people support that selection.

I suppose our other two debutantes couldn't debut for us as one is out for the year thanks to WADA and the other has his hammy problems. Who does that leave that may debut - White? Rice? I don't think they're ready yet. And Gresham isn't really ready yet either.

So far it's been a bust on the recruiting side this year as far as debutantes go.

Ahem...they haven't beaten us in 10 years...last year we beat them by nearly 40 points at the MCG without even raising a sweat. The pressure is definitely on them to produce the goods, we just have to brush up on out disposal.

Well, the wouldn't be a Melbourne supporter if they weren't getting ahead of themselves. Now they've won 2 in a row for the first time in 5 years I'm expecting 'The Streak' to come out on DVD any day now.
