Nate Brown

Post: # 1657297Post Con Gorozidis »

Was a colossus all night.
46 inside 50s meant Kennedy was always going to get on the end of a couple.
But Brown was strong in the contest and usually took decent options to get rid of the ball.
Was my hero for tonight.

Agree Brown was great tonight. Did his job and did it well. Like everyone else knows it was our terrible kicking again that let us down again. Richo get the boys in front of goals this week and practice kicking goals. We could have, no, should have won tonight and won easily

He was a Full Back

Why he was recruited... and did it well

Carlisle, well... I think they need to think about his role

Brown was good and so was Carlisle.

Brown has continuity in his game, Carlisle doesn't.

Defending your opponent occasionally could be a starting point

Was good for three and a half quarters.

The three and a half quarters the midfield applied some pressure?

Yeah but they were all over us in the last.
Dam wall had broken.
Kennedy was always going to get some cheapies late. It is the eagles way over there. Was almost impossible to defend. Our mids had stopped dead.

Now, Marto, you're a massive fan of Jack Darling, right? And, not so much of a Jake Carlisle fan.

They whacked up Darling's stats on the telly late in the 2nd - he'd had 8 or 9. He finished with 11. Did he do any damage after 1/2 time?

Carlisle had 12 and, from what I saw, did some useful work and got better as the game went on - a hand in here, a touch there, a tap on when required.

Neither Brown nor Carlisle were the problem.

Consider some of those around them. Webster made significant errors (mainly before half time - the out of air kick when deep - spare me), Newnes is struggling, Savage has more deficiencies than strengths (particularly when he coughs it up by foot), Geary makes errors a habit, Roberton comes and goes and tends to be straight ahead.

The back half lacks adventurous run. Too motononpacio.

D. McKenzie plays for mine.

Tend to agree. Normally Darling and Kennedy kills us.
Tonight they were barely sighted until the very end. Carlisle muted Darling.

But Webster was atrocious and Newnes probably played the worst game of his entire career. Both terribly off their tucker.

Id like to see much more DMac and more B White please.
