What is unique about the Round 4, 1912 game between St Kilda and University? (HINT: It contains a first and last record for the Uni club).

R3 Uni beat richmond.
R4 was the first of their long string of losses before folding in 1914.

Nope. HINT: it concerns an indervidual (Uni) player.

Is it something to do with Roy Park?

Maybe he kicked the sides only goals

No to both, I'm afraid.

The had an indervidual Uni player grab a (somewhat unwanted) first and only stat for that Club.

Anyone with "The Clubs" book, just look in the University section and you'll see it.

well.. Uni won a wooden spoon in 1914, and it was the last year they where in the afl. they had 37 players used wit 14 debuts in 1914. Jack West was the captain, Gerald Brosnan was coach, they finished in position 10...
my stats book sucks  nothing really about round 4 in it... bugger

This must be it.

Carl Willis was the only University player to be suspended. He was charged with striking Fred Hansen of the Saints.

He concocted a story and when the chairman asked Hansen, all he could say was "What you talkin' about Willis?"

There was a bit in the press last week about Phillip Matera retiring and meaning that it was the end of 19 consecutive seasons of the Matera brothers (Wally, Peter and Phil) playing in the VFL / AFL.

Which set of brothers will equal that feat in 2006?

LOL..I almost said the Wakelins til I did the maths !

OK...Around this time of year a well known Aussie pub rock/folk band used to stage a series of Xmas shows..

The lead singer of this band is a fervent Saints fan and is carrying on the tradition with solo shows this Xmas

The name of the singer and band isnt that hard, but have a go anyway

BUT..to claim next question..name this bands SONG that had lyrics that included "and if the Saints get done again, by Ch*ist I couldnt care"

AND..name the album title from this band that paid homage to Tony Lockett

the one and only Mick Thomas from Weddings Aprties Anything "Under the Clocks"

Is there anywhere you'd rather be
Than with me at the MCG,
And if the Saints get done again,
By Christ, I couldn't care.

from the album either Roaring Days or Scorn of the women, sitting at work can't remember which

Well done Tery Smith rules....Under the Clocks was indeed the name of the song..and a classic it is..the Lyrics paint a wonderful picture of Melbourne

Just for the record..the album title that paid homage to Plugger was "The Big Dont Argue"

Your go tsr

Terry Smith played for which other VFL club before crossing to the saints and in what year did he play a major role in a premiership win for that side?

As an aside what number did he wear with the saints?

Terry Smith played for Richmond and I'm guessing it would have been the 1980 GF...

He wore number 30 for the Saints and played between 1983 - 1985
