AFLW Saints for 2019
Whisper is the Saints AFLW side might start next year instead of 2020. Apparantly Reflex (the company that sells reams of paper for a living ) will be sponsoring the chicks side for 5 years at a $1 mil in total. Awesome news and surely that is enough dosh to run the chicks side every year!

Re: AFLW Saints for 2019
Hopefully they will start playing the game on paper.
"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Not sure how much value AFLW is. There is scant interest in now. The JLT destroys it by a mile.

Re: AFLW Saints for 2019
I don't watch it personally, but its great for the Saints in general. 1 mil a year going into the female side from Reflex is good news although that money will only go to that branch of St Kilda - the AFLW side. So money will never be a problem for now.saintspremiers wrote:Not sure how much value AFLW is. There is scant interest in now. The JLT destroys it by a mile.

Agreed, the AFLW brings in more femals and families which will translate into more exposure, members and fans. It can only be a good thing for the Saints. If the Saints had any brains, then they would be flogging the AFLW side in the Bayside schools - private, catholic and public at primary and secondary school level - right now!

If AFLW and JLT are both on, I’ll watch AFLW just because it’s a competition.saintspremiers wrote:Not sure how much value AFLW is. There is scant interest in now. The JLT destroys it by a mile.

Re: AFLW Saints for 2019
I want the AFLW to succeed, but give me the men's game any day. Even the under 12's are better. Still, the women's game needs our full support. It will improve exponentially in the next five years.

It’s going to be great to see where the standard ends up in 5 - 10 years and the unique style that develops.Drake Huggins wrote:I want the AFLW to succeed, but give me the men's game any day.
