36 goals, 65 behinds

Post: # 1722971Post cwrcyn »

Since round 2.

Averaging 7 goals, 13 behinds per game

We have a winning game plan. with the foot skills to match

Why do I go to the football? Why do I watch it? Been a long time supporter, but I can see myself just giving it away soon. Can't watch much more of this utter garbage,

Every single game this year had been a repeat. How can this goal kicking issue continue every game for 30 matches. Been incredible.

At least under Lyon we knew we had a disciplined machine - this regime of low scoring is an unwanted outcome of ineptitude and non existent plan

Been watching the Saints for over 50 years.
Seen some bloody aweful displays.

But even in our back to back spoons eras our kicking was never as bad as the crap being dished up this season.
This current side are fine at getting the ball, and fine at applying pressure.

But they are absolute rubbish at disposal.
They are just painful to watch.

AFL ‘standard’ players missing set shots like ours do is absolutely inexscuable and I don’t think you can blame the coaches. Either our guys have a serious case of the yips or they are just not up to it

Whenever we have clear possession 80 metres out they should play the Benny Hill music over the pa system.

Putrid. Yips? Professional footballers. Maybe we could have some sort of tag team affair, where the blokes playing AFL mark it and the country footballers kick for goal. Some absolute dead eyes in my local. Wait for it.... "Pressure is on", blah blah blah

Definition of insanity: playing Gresham, Membrey, Newnes, Savage, Sinclair and Gilbert in the same side over and over again but also expecting to kick a winning score or win more than 3 games a season. If chaps like Marshall, Battle, Rice, Austin and Clark are not better then its overall more pitiful than I think. And I think its horrendous. Coaching is appalling: Smith and Mitchell ran riot and the attempts to progress the ball forward Benny Hill like, as another poster rightly said. There are big technical and internal problems otherwise this sort of dysfunction would not happen. I hope we are only paying 50% of the playing cap for what's being served up. And a circuit breaker comes along bloody soon - this regime are terrible for a so called professional team in the AFL. Even the commentators pity Saints fans.

Your all wrong. The short scientists are right.
Kicking for goal hurts your hamstrings.
The point of the game is to kick the most points
We kicked the most points today so we won 11 to 12

As Richo keeps saying " We are working hard on the track ( Obviously on our poor kicking ) and "We need to become more consistent" ( Yes consistently poor )
I'm over it, followed the club for over fifty years and i can't recall having so many players in the one side who can't execute the fundamentals of the game.

I already know two people who sit next me are not renewing their memberships next year. This team is just crap to watch, wouldn't be surprised to see TV rating s drop whenever we are on because our brand of football is just unwatchable. As I said on a previous thread, where's the passion from the coaching staff, no one gets angry they just sit there in stunned silence as their crap plan plays out on the field. This club just accepts failure like a badge of honor.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Embarrassing. Putrid to watch. Have to admit have turned it off several times. Just rubbish. Junior footy stuff.

At the start of the season you could see there was something drastically wrong between the players and coach as the players looked completely switched off. The players are simply not buying Richo's messages amd game plan any longer. Since then the players have lost total confidence in themselves and the process, consequently the disastrous kicking at goal.

Very confused over how far the saint's have fallen this year.
Skill level worst i can remember from any football team. Goal kicking inexplicable
My only hope is that Hardwick and Buckley had no discernable game plan. .... maybe there is hope .....

One more look from Richo which says.... which way did it go... which way did it go....
