If this team ever learns to kick...

Post: # 1730433Post skeptic »

Look out. Whenever they are able to undo this make players skills worse when they get here thing that goes on, get some confidence going... (guess I should say if rather than when) we got a half-decent team here.

They need a serious shift in psychology and some skills training.

We have some decent players here.

Paddy in particular, if he actually kicked his set shots would be a good player

Ummm. The Tiges had 30 score shots to our 17.
They had 15 more I50s.

If they kicked straight they win by 10 goals. We cant have it both ways.

440 saints to 365 tigers possessions. We are totally stuffed in the skills department.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

We have a skills department. I am shocked to here that.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Yep skills aren't our strong point. We couldn't hit the side of a barn with a pass.

But he doesn't.
Which means he is not only a useless player for us, he is a bonus for the opposition because they can run off him undefended when they get a turnover.
He can't takes marks because his leads are too slow.
His opponent has to be careful not to run into the back of him before the contest.
Then because his opponent is always in the contest spoils are frequent.

Yes and no. He seems to get at least 2-3 shots per game. That could translate to 50 goals per season which is decent.
But yes, he’s not kicking them so it’s not relevant atm
