One of the few times this year pretty well everything went our way. Injuries to key players, umpires etc. Boys gained a lot of confidence. Interesting to note Richo did not make one tactical move all night. Not one.

If you play better the umpires tend to look after you.

Thanks T74. It was a very good win even against a terrible Carlton. We really aren't a bottom 6 side considering who we were missing.

Please keep providing some inside input. I appreciate it as do others on here.

I think you’ll find a bit more will come from this game. Carlton were pretty confident, a line in the sand game so to speak. It wasn’t as clear cut as it appeared. Our boys were ready and played a pretty controlled game. The Blues will implode.

I learnt tonight how wonderful Carlton are at tanking
They were deplorable
The game itself was clearly 16 v 18 as the fumbles, constant turn overs, players falling over, missed targets and goals was comedy hour
I take nothing other than some kids showed something tonight

Personally we all should be looking forward to next Friday night's game.
Considering the added emotion from being the Maddies Match and a near full house this will be our virtual GF!

How do you know it was their line in the sand game? Are we using ASIO as consultants?

I do however agree that there will be some fallout from Carlton coterie groups and powerbrokers, if that's what you meant

Yep, they’ll be up for it. Thought Armo really played a selfless game tonight. A real team player ourDavid is.

Armitage has really stood up the past 2 weeks. We require his seniority more than ever.

So who's coaching Carlton next year?
Ross?
Makes sense to me, though the Blues faithful can't stomach the idea for some reason.

Gaius Popillius Laenas was seen in the Carlton rooms pre-match with a big stick

Carlton were terrible....really bad. Come back next week with some positive shtick after we play a genuine AFL standard side. Hanging our hat on last night as some sort of measure of improvement is more papering over the cracks.

Perhaps there was no tactical move last night, but I reckon there was a significant change to our game plan after the bye. Just for starters the forward line is maintaining it's structure.

I hate to break it to you but we’re 15th. Would be 14th if they had paid that free to Carlisle.

Yeah it was great against Port.

IF we play at the top of our game next week we may only go down by 6 goals to Richmond.

Unfortunately friggin Lonie will probably get another game.

Imagine having Collingwoods draw we would play Carlton twice Freo and WC at Ethiad.

My god there are some miserable sods on this site these days...whinge, whine, complain, pi$$ing and moaning. Yeah it's been a tough season...but how about just enjoying the win...rather than constantly imposing your negative views of the world on the rest of us.

Don’t like differing views? Oh well. Papering has over the gaping fissures in our leadership with 10 goal wins against VFL standard teams might make people feel better for a while. Fair enough. A win is a win. But it’s meaningless in terms of our long term capacity to be competitive in the top half of the table. It’s like the ship sinking but the band playing a nice tune whilst it goes down. Focus on that if you like, but the ship is still sinking.

Your view St. B. Thankfully not everyone's.

I agree with KingSaint.

Disheartening to come here after a win and read all the whinging.
