I wonder if membership losses could be a larger figure than paying him out?

Hard to argue.

So far this round eleven teams have been electric.

One team has been pathetic.

And don't forget his sidekick the rudderless Geary, absolutely no leadership,
Annoying we have to waste how many years rebuilding again

Give him the bullet FFS....we're already up to our eyeballs in debt, so what would it really matter.
Get Ratten and Mitchell as Senior assistant.
Get Polec and a top 3 pick as a minimum
Or we are f#cked

1. Can't kick
2. Drop marks
3. Don't man up
4. Fumble the ball.
5. Lack basic skills.
6. Can't lose an opponent.
7. Poor decision making.
8. Can't tackle.
9. Give away unnecessary free kicks.

I hate Roos but had to agree with him that Dunstan's field kicking is not AFL standard.

Also the side was poorly selected. Not enough talls.

Goddard and Marshall should have been in that team.

Sickening ineptitude. No one makes a target, no one knows what to do, no attacking plan.

Has anyone seen the presser? Did he say that they’ll learn from it and it’s an opportunity to come back strongly?

Tonight is as insipid a performance as I've seen for the last thirty five years.

Our best player misses a goal from directly in front.

The rest of the team are just ball watchers - no accountability and no skill.

It must be said that the gameplan has led to this pathetic performance.

Make no mistake - if Richo is still there next year, I can't see a future for our club.

I'm bleeding.

Richo and the admin need to go!

They are destroying our club!

It all starts at Summers, then Finnis and Richo

Need a total rebuild

It’s worse than that
I agree the club is looking st dropping 10k members next year.
Richo has to go. Hang the cost it’s just diabolical now.

The cost of paying him out needs to be balanced against the gate decreases of this year and next (the next two? OMFG!)
and the palpable damage being inflicted on our club through supporter attitude, future memberships and mismanagement.
The scales have tipped so far away from the Richo brigade its not funny.

The trouble is there have been games where these things weren’t a problem. Skills have been there and there has been intensity. Yesterday however there was a definite malaise and lack of care and our fitness seemed to suffer much like the fadeout in the second half against GWS. Joey and other commentators kept talking about the lack of leadership and no onfield pointing at stoppages near the goalsquares ( a problem all year). A problem our senior players at times have exhibited. Ultimately this all goes back to the coach to fix. If a new coaching group doesn’t bring significant change next year then Richo will be gone in 2019.

This list were the B grade brigade but sadly the C grade crew might be a more accurate name now. Brisbane have def. gone past us. Can’t believe after now the best part of a decade of rebuilding we’re still sitting with Carlton and Gold Coast.

There is the factor of attracting players.
If Dylan Shiel is available for instance - he wont consider our club with Richo still there.

Yeap - free agency will not do us any good at all. Players returning to Victoria will avoid us like the plague.

Trading our players to other clubs because they are not good enough would hurt - to see them shine under professional clubs. I dread to see them hit their targets, take their marks and kick through the big sticks for other clubs. Our recruitment could be improved, but surely these kids are not getting the professional support to improve their skills and confidence to a level we are entitled to expect. I see where people on this board say this one and that one wouldn't get a game at another club, but we are only seeing what they can do under a rabble regime. The only skills Richo mob could get any credit for is the speedy handballs in-close - but next year the AFL is going to open up the game!

You could read between the lines with the commentators during last night's match- they were trying every diplomatic way of getting around saying that the coaching is crap.

Yesterday was the norm.
The 'good' games you refer to was outliers.
The reality is we are 4-14 with a % of 75%.
That tells the story.

Montagna was very diplomatic last night, but you could hear the effort he was having while commentating.
I wish he would just come out and name what he knows....that the coach has lost the players and it is all over for Richo

You were singing their praises not so long ago especially after beating Gold Coast. Skill level aint there bud, has'nt been there all year unless they are under no pressure. A top coach might get them to 8 wins but I doubt it. Richardson has definitely lost them. Got Essendon, Hawks and Roos coming up. Wonder how many of those we will win.
