Jarrad Schofield?

Post: # 1758336Post saintkev »

Just watched Subiaco (coached by Jarrad Schofield) flog West Perth by 81 points in the WAFL Grand Final. Undefeated all year, Subi hammered every other team including the Eagles and Dockers reserves teams. Could he add an element of hardness missing in the Saints approach? Schofield was a tough, attacking player and premiership winner with Port Adelaide. As a coach he has high expectations and his players deliver consistently!

like it... put him in charge of Sandy & give him a development role at the saints for a year to see what he's actually like

Josh Carr managed to pull North Adelaide from last in 2017 to premiers in 2018, with a considerable slump in the middle of this season...I like the character of that effort much better, some serious motivational skills in play.

Schofield will go to Port Power if he goes anywhere. (And it won't be as a development coach or to coach their SANFL side)

His son is likely to go to Port Adelaide as a father son pick.

West Coast is another option for Schofield after Mitchell leaving.

Shouldn’t have even played in the Grand Final after getting caught with 19 players on the ground in the preliminary final,

They were cleared, and rolled the flag favourite comfortably (with only 18 on the ground at all times). Point is, they did it the hard way, after finishing last the previous season. Credit to JS because 100% winning seasons don't come along every year, but there was no star-studded AFL line up at the Roosters, just hard work and a lot of character...exactly what we need IMO.

Same with Subi, this year, the closest they have to a star is Zac Clarke (Dockers’ reject) and Adam Cockie (former West Coast & Sandringham player. He was playing in the reserves. Subi reserves and thirds also won flags yesterday.

Both would be great acquisitions but would soon be ruined under Richo, so why would they bother?

Good coach.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Didn’t our very own Scott Floggers coach a few WAFL teams to premierships?

Speaking of which - whatever happened to Scotty. Can't recall him getting picked up by any AFL clubs after he got the boot from the saints

Probably still shell-shocked at making the decision to come to a bunch of losers after being with a premiership club. 8-)
