James certainly couldn't pull off the fat lady sings routine of Rexy - they just don't make like that any more. And yes, Brayshaw is a twat as a commentator. It is hard to get good help nowadays. Reasonable bat but.

The level of commentary is awful. Way too much crap talk. Do they not realise that we can see what is happening when we watch the TV? No need to hear details of every kick and mark.

On footy and cricket these days there is an overload of “me, me, me” commentary- such a shame. What happened to the power and strength of unbiased call what you see comments. I struggle to think of one these days. In the past there were plenty as that was considered a great quality. Tim Lane even has ego and bias in his commentary since he went commercial.

Agree. The match presentation/commentry is nowadays totally overblown, its almost as if the actual game is a side issue. There are nearly as many media commentators as players. I no longer watch any pre or post game, and Bradshaw for me has usurped Bruce as the worst commentator. I can stand Brian Taylor, and like Richo (not Alan, but Matthew), a bit different, and some interesting theories/comments.
