Richmond bounce back
Humiliated by the Bears.
Richmond down on players.
Maddie's Match.
Saints under the pump.
Everything to play for.
It's really a last chance game.
I have no idea how the side will respond but the Richmond game is massive on all fronts for the club.
Will we bounce back? I have no idea. I don't think anyone does.
This game will tell us a lot about the players and Richo IMO. I'm actually excited to see what transpires but also a little terrified. Don't you just love the footy!

Alright...I'll be nice. Seems like a pointless challenge to go with a pointless post.

Re: Richmond bounce back
Its exciting to see whether we will bounce back or not. Read the post...again. Then try interpret it...again. Pretty simple. Otherwise, stay away if it's too hard to understand.

I’m not looking forward to another hiding to be honest. I’ve got better things to do. Unfortunately I’ll likely watch the slaughter though.

Maybe it won't be a slaughter. Footy is strange. I'm genuinely excited to see how the side responds. Unfortunately, what we did yesterday, is pretty much our normal. Against rubbish teams, that same performance is a 2 point win.
But against a decent team on a good day, it's a 10 goal walloping.
Realistically, what we did yesterday is just our standard under Cho for the past 6 years.
That's why we beat Gold Coast and Carlton when we play them, then scratch our heads when the same team gets flogged by by Adelaide, or Sydney, or Collingwood or in this case Brisbane the next week.
We just play a very, very ordinary brand of football that has proven to simply not hold up against good teams.
The 'bomb it to the hot spot' strategy requires us to dominate through the middle, in order to generate enough entries to kick 80 points.
Against good teams, firstly we don't dominate the midfield so we don't get the 60+ Inside 50s we need - and secondly good teams kick more than 80 points anyway.
It's no accident that we average only 6.5 wins for the past 5 years.
The strategy is just flawed.

I'm genuinely excited to see how we go and respond. I honestly have no idea how we will perform against Richmond. Personally, I find this week one of the most interesting in recent memory given the high stakes and Alan Richardson speculation.

Re: Richmond bounce back
Given we've played 1, maybe 2 really good games in 5 years - why would you expect our performance to be any different what we serve up every week?tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 23 Jun 2019 4:29pm

Yet get stuck into anyone who suggests we won't win? LOL. If we can bet on anything in this world being consistent, it's you.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 23 Jun 2019 4:29pm I honestly have no idea how we will perform against Richmond.

Getting stuck into the ridiculous 100+ point thrashing. Each to their own misery I guess though.

Been waiting to bounce back for about 6 years.
More likely we'll play them into form.

Re: Richmond bounce back
Unfortunately, it's not as if it hasn't happened before...and recently. Two 10 goal beltings in recent weeks by teams around the Tigers position on the ladder. Sorry if our mate is being a bit miserable, that is a understandable, he doesn't need to re-read anything to work out we haven't been travelling very well lately. We may produce something amazing, but it would come despite all expectations.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 23 Jun 2019 4:56pm ?

The only way to respond is by winning which they won't.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 23 Jun 2019 4:19pmMaybe it won't be a slaughter. Footy is strange.
