Damien, I imagine that Hunter Clark is in the untouchable category.

Because trading is so volatile, anything could happen.
It's not like looking for a new house, where you know which suburbs and your price range.
This is far messier, too many variables.

Agree.

The two most certain things at present is probably Hill and Tomlinson to nominate us.

However if Hawks and/or Blues miss out on Cogs then one of both teams could suddenly chase Hill. Blues in particular have a lot of $$$$ they can splash that have set aside for Cogs. While Hawks have a large offer also to Cogs, I doubt they would offer Hill as much the Blues would.

Apart from those two anything could happen. The club is probably shaking the tree to see if they can get good offers for Bruce (I would prefer to keep) and Carlisle and if they do that frees up the players we could then potentially gain from other clubs.

Tomlinson not done yet so that is incorrect.
GWS, Saints and Dogs is a 3 way race, with Pies lurking as well.

Thanks for the feedback.

So I also guess from that that we unfortunately have a lot of work yet to do to get players of interest to pick us.

Contacts are contracts.
If the club wants out of them then they have to buy their way out or persuade the player to go elsewhere.

The only problem with reported big cleanouts, is they need to be followed by big intakes...and I can't see we're in a position to much with our trades and picks, no matter how hard I squint.

The List Manager, James Gallagher, has a very important role.
He's juggling all the likely scenarios in terms of salary cap.
'How much, can we fit him in?"
And 'if we let player X go, who can we afford?'
Lots of ???
If salary cap is an issue it should only be how much overs will be pay some player to reach the AFLs minimum salary requirement.
We have a crap list and it certainly does not deserve the AFL minimum.
If someone has been signing overs into low quality player contracts that someone should be the first trade OUT.

Amon had a very good year and I reckon could wind up being a cheaper alternative to Jack Martin.
I know Karl's sister and she told me about 2-3 years ago that he really wanted to get to the Saints.....another Haileybury boy. We're building a stable of old Haileyburians with Josh Battle, Clav, Max King and possibly Ben King, Karl Amon and Charlie Constable to come; can't be a bad thing.

Is there actually a report that Amon has in fact nominated St Kilda as his club of choice? Or is is just speculation?
