What happened to Steele today, only 2 tackles, well down on his average

The Fireman wrote: Sat 11 Jul 2020 4:05pm Well that was as much fun as the Nth game.

how can half of our players just disappear ? Mind you Freo were hitting targets everywhere they played us at our own game but better.

I also question the fitness of our players.
Yes fitness has to be a concern, we just stopped. And now it's becoming a pattern. Last week win we struggled to run out the game and now this. I hope the team get made to watch the replay on the bus trip back. Time to rest a few players.

It helps if you don't take it too seriously. We were incredibly disadvantaged before the game even started. There were players that weren't happy about what the AFL has done to them. There is absolutely no integrity in this years comp.

What we would give to have a Hayes like midfielder and LEADER.

Once again Geary toasted us with one of his kicks. Clean possession running straight through the middle of the ground and tumbled the ball to Freo's advantage. He's been doing it his whole career. A brave and dedicated footballer, but I've just seen too much of that from him. All our players pushed forward when he got the ball and he completely coated them with that kick. Free then had number free and were always going to score after that atrocious kick.

Nah no surf at Noosa - but that will suit a bunch of Vic softies
Plenty of expensive latte coffee shops though

The excuses trying to be invented to explain us going from a 7 goal quarter to 1 goal in a half is more pathetic than our effort today!

STFU why don't you. These players are paid a fortune. Incredibly disadvantaged. What a joke. We're playing a crap team who have just spent 5 x wks 1000's of km's away from their base and you want to whine about how disadvantaged we are. We have better training facilities than most in their hub. Talk about a mentally weak effort and ppl like you are enablers for this type of display. If you reckon the season is so compromised and so unworthy, why bother watching it let alone coming on here and commenting.

Really?
Are you people deranged?
Can't get hands on the ball for 2 and a half quarters and it's all the AFL and umpires' fault!
Some people can't understand that poor play and dodgy umpiring aren't mutually exclusive conditions. Both situations can indeed be in play AT THE SAME TIME.
Basic IQ tests use these sort of questions to sift out the less mentally agile.

At the end of the day there was one goal in it. Best on ground Dean Margetts and co.

Correct. Leadership. It’s everything we don’t have. You can stick your solid citizen / good training standards fair up your ar$e because Ross and Geary are diabolical if they don’t have specific roles

Pis$ poor leadership
