Turned over the idiot box just in time to see Newnes win the game for Carlton with a kick after the siren.

No ordinary kick, either. 45 metres out literally launching off the boundary fence. Worth a look, never looked like missing.

Cant 100% confirm but some saying that the rules say that a down the ground free kick that is kicked out on the full should be taken from where the infringement occurred

So after getting that wrong they then give the wrongly awarded downfield kick to a player who was further away as well

That is some extremely bad umpiring - glad it wasn't us on the receiving end
