Good call on form and team balance. Bytel should play 1-2 more this year and hopefully a final.

That is one quick side!

Clearly looking for run and pace.

What’s the deal with Carlisle?

Didn’t think he was that bad. Is it match up?

No match up and we wanted another running player on a very fast ground.

Must be something with Carlisle.
Has been very good this year.

No match up?

We have been Footed again with the umpires.

Nick Foot (2), Andrew Stephens (12), Brendan Hosking (16)

Kicks short passes too high, giving target's opponent a chance to get to the contest.

I am going to keep a close on the first two of those two maggot pricks and I'm hoping the AFL is doing likewise.

Lazy, timid attitude. Won’t commit his body to the contest.

I don’t really know Melbourne so can’t comment on the balance thing...

Am not overly happy with the selections.

Feel like Carlisle has been pretty good all season .

Don’t mind Bytel for Phillips but would have rathered Kent he dropped.

Lets not forget Carlisle's wife is expecting a baby - but he was fairly ordinary last week. It might be just a little reminder that we cant have players cruising....?

Carslisle managed, surely. Phillips gets a big chance to show he has it or he doesn't. I really hope for everyone he steps up and actually takes the opportunity in a really important test for the Club. They like him but as a selector you can only be burned so many times before putting a player at the back of the queue and calling next. I sincerely hope he can give 4 quarters and not a few short cameos.

Dinky kicks and turning circle of the Titanic. He needs to put a bit more oomph into his game.

Disappointed Jimmy Bytel was dropped. He had 5 tackles and is a good developing inside mid.

Bloody Sinclair better pull his finger out. He needs to do more. Very lucky to be in the side still.

Glad Phillips is back in. I like the cut of his jib - reckon he will become a good player for the Saints. My youngest son's current favourite player too, after Steven left.

More scoobied by the Demons' changes - 6 changes after a 7 day break. Wow! And 5 of them unforced including Preust. Surprising given he is considered a pretty effective ruckman and gives Gawn a chop out in the ruck. Considering Gawn is returning early from injury, this will give us a massive leg up if he re-injures himself during this game I would've thought.

Rumour is that their young jet was omitted for being late to training. Fair effort when you're living in a hub. Still, that's their problem, not ours.

Think Carlisle is being rested, I know the club says omitted and technically that's true, but I think they are taking the opportunity to rest him before the Festival pf Footy 2.0 gets underway in earnest.
