Twice Best and Fairest and my favourite player when there was not much to cheer about. Virtually no media about him through the years.

Re: RIP Jeff Dunne
Thanks for this.
With Barker he was a star, a quieter one perhaps, but class. As a kid, in my imagination, I assumed he was the guy to carry the candle forward for Wayne Judson. I’m sure he was much more than that.
RIP

Re: RIP Jeff Dunne
In his best season he polled votes in 13 of his 22 games. All single votes. Great back pocket player. He was then moved up the ground and his game wasn't the same. A short but impressive career

Ever reliable back pocket player, what we call old school now, no fuss just went about his business.

Re: RIP Jeff Dunne
Sad news. My dad said he was very good in those days when our team was struggling. The bearded No. 8 was very consistent and a dependable back pocket specialist. RIP Jeff.

I didn't realise or had forgotten he played a game for the Tigers.

Strength & prayers for his family. An honest, hard working servant of St Kilda, a player I admired and thought of when I played and endeavoured to emulate in tough moments. Pure quality!

Sad news RIP the bearded wonder
Great memories of watching him hunch his back over and take off ball in hand
