I hope this a move to the rookie list and not a real "your career at the saints is over."
It would be disgusting if that were the case but Joyce and McKenzie are protected by contracts that should never have been offered.

This will allow St Kilda to make two picks in the draft or pick up a delisted free agent like Frawley.

No news yet on Carlisle and Lonie signing contracts still on the table or Savage and Clavarino.

List lodgement No 1 today.

Nope, but if they did, it’s not that newsworthy is what I mean, particularly with the world going to s***.

On the AFL site Carlisle has agreed to a one year deal with a one year trigger, Lonie is close to signing to signing a one year deal which may also have a one year extension trigger.

This is really disappointing

Get rid of Marsh and recruit Mckernan ffs

McKernan 87 games in 11 years 30 yo with little upside

Versus a 25 year almost identical size and stats, but speed to burn and from the outside a great Saint clubman

Versus Mckernan who at best looks disinterested

You know the moneyball scenario will only carry you so far, at some point you need to stabilise and build a club culture

Agree, Marsh is 5 yrs younger and has the desire and attitude.
How long ago was the injection saga?
If McK didn't play much in a very poor Bombers team, then how bad is he?

"The determination he exhibited to break back into the AFL system exemplifies the kind of person Jonathon is, and we truly hope he gets another go at this level."

I think Gags might be willing to rookie him if no other club grabs him.

First time I read this statement I was unsure.
The second time I started to think, you know what Fugazi is onto something.
By the third time, I'm yep, spot on he had to go.

Carlisle is a border city and the county town of Cumbria as well as the administrative centre of of the City of Carlisle district in North West England
I have no idea what state Lonie is in.

Why would we offer an extension trigger to Lonie, no one else wanted him for fucksake.
I can understand Carlisle (KPP) to a point, although I think he was in the same boat as Lonie as far as other clubs were concerned.
I hope the trigger point is at least 18 games, which means neither will make it.

Can Marsh play back up ruck and/or key fwd?. No. Thats what we need.

I dont care if he's 10 years younger, with shorter list sizes we need support players for next year!
Marsh has shown a great attitude and reduced list sizes has hurt him but whilst he's not amazing, there is a reason McKernan has played 10yrs and nearly 100 games. He's better for what we need.

He played 9 games this year but Ess are rebuilding.

We have Battle as a utility and it looks like we'll have Frawley for depth down back.

As another poster said, maybe he'll be rookied.

Like Hind, if Marsh being on the senior list is such an issue then our team is in real trouble..
