Re: Saints v Blues
Gees we are going to miss Paton. Long and Webster have been horrible. Webster falls over constantly allowing the opposition easy possessions. Long looks really out of form.

Re: Saints v Blues
Crouch has been underwhelming. Bytel has been more noticeable and he hasn't been on yet.

Re: Saints v Blues
Lucky we aren't kicking straight matey.
Don't go eating a bag of d*cks in the preseason....plenty to like.
Lots of players need to lift as they get true match fit in body & mind.
Players like Hill looked sh!t hot in 2020 preseason and just cruised most games so hopefully we won't be fire hot or ice cold...just consistent.
Consistency wins matches.
I could bag players and applaud others but its our first preseason game and I dont think its too bad.
Carlton are a damn good team with some rippa lads Id love to have on our side.

Re: Saints v Blues
Judging by your comments, and Frawley’s injury really hope Robertson surprises and comes back.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Saints v Blues
Not watching but checking the score occasionally so isn't the fact that we're -- at least according to observers watching the game -- playing in 2nd or 3rd gear AND winning by 4 goals a good sign?
Maxxy King with 3, Lones with 4.
Think positive thoughts, Saints fans. We can only get better.

Getting run over here. No legs. Need to find something. Don’t want to lose to this mob even in a practice match

Re: Saints v Blues
Lots of positives, but obviously conceding 100 points isn’t ideal.
It’s only a praccy match tho

Re: Saints v Blues
Looking at the stats it looks like Battle has been pretty quiet.
Good opponent? Bad day at the office?
Also what position has he been playing?

Re: Saints v Blues
Yeah Crouch was probably the biggest disappointment tonight. Tho they did seem to be playing him up forward a bit for some reason?

Long's not out of Form. He's just playing the way he has for 5 years.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Thu 04 Mar 2021 9:07pm Gees we are going to miss Paton. Long and Webster have been horrible. Webster falls over constantly allowing the opposition easy possessions. Long looks really out of form.

Re: Saints v Blues
Battle playing forward and not really his game tonight.
Crouch 61% game time did OK it's not easy to fit into a midfield in a new club.
The worry is that where we needed someone to shutdown Fisher, Williams and SIlvagni, we weren't able to do it.

Re: Saints v Blues
He looked to tweak it in a marking contest in the 3rd (or maybe early 4th?), but stayed on a kicked a goal later in the 4th so hopefully nothing too serious.

Re: Saints v Blues
A damn good team? They won seven games last year. On what basis do you rate them a good team? They are shyte and have been for two decades.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Thu 04 Mar 2021 9:24pm Lucky we aren't kicking straight matey.

If we don't beat them we are in trouble. At least Longy hardly got a touch. How did you rate his amazing performance?
