It’s must be Searl’s fault they are losing, not the lack of ability and depth on the playing list?

And by Proxy it’s Richo’s fault?!
Not by proxy. He was her mentor and main teacher for her formative years at senior AFL level. Do you really believe he wouldn't have had a major influence on her? It's clear he did. She's even stated that on a number of occasions in the media. I must admit, she even speaks like him.

I, and several other posters acknowledged that her squad has deficiencies that are beyond her control. You must have missed that bit. The squad will improve it's skills, strength and fitness levels over the next 2-3 years, hopefully closing the gap on the best of the opposition.

What Richo and Searle failed to appreciate is that young and inexperienced players instinct will almost always preceed what you drum into them.
When structure (the coaches realm) breaks down, it is rare that players will just click into training mode. They begin to play on instinct.
You can yell at them, as Searle admitted she did, and you can tell them what they are doing wrong, Searle admitted doing this too but you need to motivate them to fight and not give up, not thrash them, in s*** conditions, against a team that is playing the conditions (which includes umpiring) better. Find something positive to work with.
If you can't do that, you'll end up in a press conference, blaming your players and refusing to talk about strengths. You could even bitch about concessions other teams got. Searle has done both of these things recently.
This week she will be shitting herself, the squad will be totally deflated and she will be looking for somewhere to hide.
I feel like she thinks we should be in contention for finals.
I suggest that she move Rhi Watt back to the ruck and rotate her at CHF with Grieser. Put Shierlaw back to a key defence post and fill the forward line with smalls around the resting rucks.
Other than that, find open space, run in numbers and don't get ahead of your abilities.

More respect please!
As an AFL assistant coach (and now AFLW senior coach) Peta has clearly been a trailblazer.

She has already been awarded an OAM (in 2019) for her services to our great game.

I hope I wasnt disrespectful. I respect what she has achieved in the local and national women's football scene. Albeit, she is now engrossed in a much higher level of competition which is evolving rapidly right in front of her with a lot of positive momentum.
However, I am concerned that she is losing her grip on the realities that she faces with a young and inexperienced team. I haven't been impressed with her tactical strategies lately and wasn't really impressed with her comments in the latest post match presser.
I hope she can do better.

Thought I was on your foe list?

Peta has been coaching for more than 15 years

She has stated that the biggest influence on her coaching is Gary Ayres

She was a development coach at StK only, only had a match day role as the Forwards assistant coach for Sandy.
He immediate superiors at St Kilda would have been
Danny Sexton director of coaching
Lindsay Gilbee head of development
Aaron Hamill Sandy head coach

She would have had some contact with Richo, but mainly worked with the development coaches.

I wonder where Peta will be coaching in 2022 :?:

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Unfortunately, someone PMd me. Predictable, fact-free made up rubbish. I tried to ignore you but you seem obsessed. Let it go. I have no interest in your bs. I thought I made that clear.
