McQualter?
Yep. Has had enormous input into their gameplay and strategies against the opposition. Very well regarded. And we have tried to get him

Great insight and if we’ve tried to get him is that because Tony....just maybe we recognise we are a bit dumb in the box atm???

Wikipedia says he's at Tigerland.
So their clearances hurt us.
Is that their gameplan but more the personnel?
Are our mids as good?

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Interesting insight. Yes Mini was somewhat maligned here for perhaps taking a spot that others felt certain players were more deserved of eg luke ball

But clearly Lyon loved him for his ability to execute his role. Must have had a very good understanding of what was being asked and how to execute under Lyon. Wonder if there’s something in that insofar as his strategic coaching nous is concerned

I actually liked him. Lacked flair but certainly flourished under Lyon and had a couple of really quite productive seasons

Under Lyon's coaching he transformed his game from what he was at U18 (a classic mid) to what Lyon wanted from him (a defensive half forward).
He was prepared to do whatever the coach asked of him.
