Is Highmore eligible for a Rising Star nomination or aren't mature age rookies eligible?

He did get 7 Coaches Votes!

To be eligible for nomination, a player must be under 21 on 1 January of that year

So no he can't get nominated

I see someone described him as a Dane Swan, but presume that was more of a reference to his high draft position than anything else. All I could tell you about him is that he has a bit of pace and seems to love a goal. What do you make of him so far?

Byrnes is tracking very nicely. Last two games has been very good in only a 11 game career. Has a bit of JSteven about him, breakaway pace and likes a goal. Great addition to a slow midfield. We may have finally drafted ourselves a couple of decent pure midfielders in Byrnes and Bytel.

Ronnie Byrnes is coming along nicely and has probably surpassed Jack Bytel in the team, he is smaller and a lighter build than Bytel and if he can work on his pace he'll be a very good rover or what is today referred to as a clearance player, driving the ball into the forward line.

Byrnes is one of many St Kilda players that have become team-oriented and executing his role to considerable effect around the ground. Leo Connolly is another young fella that's showing promise and vying for a regular spot in the midfield.

"I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened."

"Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of eighty and gradually approach eighteen."

I reckon he looks a pretty good prospect

Dane swan was a big bodied aerobic animal who got knocked up getting the footy

Byrnes is much smaller, and is very pacy.

And hopefully better behaved than Mr Swan.

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

I was referring to off field social and recreational activities. But yes, we need a Premiership badly.
