From saints.com.au

"St Kilda’s AFLW coaching panel will be supported on and off the field through the club’s men’s program, with Brendon Lade (senior coach mentoring), Ben Robbins (wellbeing and performance) and Mason Wood (fitness and conditioning) to play integral roles throughout the year.

“Having Brendon, Mason and Ben support our women’s program is something which will benefit not only our AFLW players and staff, but the club as a whole,” McManus said.

“We are also extremely well-positioned with dedicated staff in our high performance, medical, welfare and operational space and are determined to help the team make an impact in 2022.”

Mason might be gaining experience for a career move after his playing days are over.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Highly possibly if not entirely probable.

How much income does the AFLW team generate for the saints? is it loss making? or money making?

With 3,000 members at $70 each, and a capacity of 5,000 at a home game, my guess would be a loss, for now.
That being said, I think I read the player payments are something like $28k maximum, and the list is only about 30 players. So they would not be bleeding out.
A majority of the coaching and staff would be employed on a part time basis as well. Luke Dunstan was a part time midfield coach last year, so they fit their duties in around other jobs. I think Peta Searle was even working at Aus Post while being the senior coach, so it wouldn’t be an outrageous salary.
Grants from government funding would go a long way too.
Shared facilities at Moorabbin would help with funding.

All in all, it’s all an investment. AFLW will only get stronger.
By the time my 3 month old daughter is old enough to get drafted to the Saints, the league will be absolutely rocking.
Get on board now!

I reckon that's great. (Maybe one of the reasons he crossed to the Saints?).

Keep involved. Make new friends. Learn new skills. Grow the pie. Love very aspect of it. Excellent. Also he must be well-versed in fitness knowledge that would help him get super fit. I like his work so far.
