Sponsorship event Pre season 26/2

Post: # 1938806Post kosifantutti »

Detail are very scant on this but it's not far away so we should run the raffle soon.
I am writing today to let you know that after much planning we have locked in our first event of the 2022 Player Sponsorship year! The Pre-Season event will be held here at RSEA Park on the 26th of February between 11.30am-1.30pm.

There will be an official invitation sent out later this week with all the details of what to expect on the day, however I just wanted to give you all an update and let you know to save the date.
This is usually an informal opportunity for us to get to meet the players. Probably with lunch and some activities. I'll send a PM to all the sponsors.

Reply there or here and we'll run a raffle soon.

Unfortunately I am already booked most of the day on the 26th of Feb, so you have to count me out for this one - pity.

Here are the numbers for the draw based on Friday's NBA games. There are two pairs of tickets but just in case the same person wins both or someone can't make it, there will be back ups.

In other news, Didzee has taken the last three shares this evening and paid for them already.

The winners will be based on the scores of
Hornets 1st prize
Heat 2nd prize

Nets 1st back up
Wizards 2nd back up
Pelicans 3rd back up
Mavericks 4th back up

I think you all know how this works now so here are the numbers:

Final scores Hornets 107 -> ticket 17 -> Relax with Max
Heat 111 -> ticket 21 -> sainter boy

Sainter boy has been lucky this year, but remember in the words of Gary Player, "the more shares I buy, the luckier I get"

I'll be in touch.

LOL
Full time - RelaxwithMax was on for the win (possibly even with both tickets if one team had scored another point)
OT - Sainter_Dad on for the win!
2OT - RelaxwithMax takes one ticket - and Sainter_Boy the other

Talk about Serendipity

Good afternoon All

A very positive day - but I would be concerned if it was otherwise

Matt Finnis spoke on the development of the RSEA Park and the hopes for the 2022 season

Ratts spoke about the challenges ahead and the way that the group has meshed and working towards a successful season - stopped short of saying it is Final or Bust for himself this year - but intimated that was the expectation

The players were then milling about chatting to their sponsors and then others

Spent 20 minutes talking to Coops and discussing his role in the forward line/ruck and the step up from SANFL to AFL as well as the success of the SA Experiment. He spends most of his practice on Wilks who he says is so hard to play on as he just seems to always know the best place to get to and when to get there. Said it was great for his development. Asked Coops if there is any expectation that a player will ever kick 100 goals again - his response is it is highly unlikely and that it is no longer an expectation - but if anyone can it will be our boy Max.

Had a quick chat to Hunter and he intimated that the 'team' was benefitting from a No D!ckhead belief system

We then had a day out chatting to the backline:
Doogs
Sincs
Wilks
Highmore
All seemed thrilled at the strengths of the backline and the way that they work together and the pressure for spots.

Caught up with Captain Jack - was again impressed by the Measure of the Man. Said he does not regret that was his path to the Saints was via the Giants but that he holds Roo et al in very high regard for being a One Club Player. Looks forward to the Season and the rest of the guys pulling together in the efforts of Winning it for the supporters. Does not feel that he is worthy yet to be discussed with the names Roo, Hayes, Harvey. Is very humble (but we knew that) and said he was actually proud to receive a Supporters Voted Award.

Had a quick chat to Membrey before we got wound up and finished the day.

It was good to catch up with KFT and Scoop.

Took a few pics - Waiting on the Team Photo to show the award presentation.

Thanks S_D but can you elaborate on "benefiting from a 'No D!ckhead' belief system" that you spoke to Hunter about? In what respect & whether he was alluding to players or coaches or staff who have moved on?

Not so much in relation to players/coach/staff but more seemed to imply that departures from the acceptable standards are dealt with - no so much the personnel but more the tolerances. For instance I know that someone has been invited to a party next weekend but due to the closeness of the season and the rules associated with curfews has categorically declined the invite
