Post: # 1944724Post perfectionist »

8 Jack Higgins (STK)
8 Andrew Brayshaw (FRE)
5 Max King (STK)
4 Luke Ryan (FRE)
4 Josh Battle (STK)
1 Jack Sinclair (STK)

Last week against the Magpies, Jack Hayes was the only Saints player to receive votes, 5.

What nothing for Acres?

Thought there could have been a hostage swap, 2 votes for Blake two votes for Brad.

Good to see Battle get some recognition. I like his warrior style. Same with Hayes. Play them both. They give us some toughness and don't f*** with me.

Ratts is giving himself and the coaching staff a pat on the back for selecting Higgo and …subsequently gave him the 5 votes

Before any one gets their knickers in a knot, I’m just being facetious…maybe I’ve got it all wrong.

Ratts

5 Higgins
4 Brayshaw
3 Ryan
2 Battle
1 Sinclair

Longmuir

5 King
4 Brayshaw
3 Higgins
2 Battle
1 Ryan

What other combinations can others think of? Can’t see that Ratts didn’t give King a vote!

I heard Nathan Buckley on SEN this morning and he was talking about the case for NOT dropping Higgo, but also he could understand the case for sending a message and this is what he had to say… (I’m paraphrasing…..)

Nathan believes it’s difficult to comment on Jack unless you know the behaviours that have been talked about within the four walls at St Kilda and what personal goals he has been set as an individual, but you can’t just think about next week and you can’t play your best players if they have broken team rules or if they don’t follow instruction.

Nathan said some times it’s about the standards you want to set with your group and where you want to get to - which is trying to become a premiership team.

Every chance. Not sure what I would think about this. Spent a lot of years hating this guy.

Yep. Standards...the very reason Luke Dunstan wasn't offered a new contract

Me too, although I didn't mind him on white line fever.

Ratten
5 Higgins
4 King
3 Brayshaw
2 Battle
1 Sinclair

Longmuir
5 Brayshaw
4 Ryan
3 Higgins
2 Battle
1 King

- or -

Ratten
5 King
4 Higgins
3 Brayshaw
2 Battle
1 Ryan

Longmuir
5 Brayshaw
4 Higgins
3 Ryan
2 Battle
1 Sinclair

I think the first scenario makes more sense - Each coach gave his Best/Second to their own club - Longmuir may have only recognised Higgo's contribution because it was more impressive v what was expected - I live for the day that 4 goals to King is just the expected pass mark!!!!

Thanks Sainter_D

I agree with you that the first scenario is the most likely

One other thing... disappointing both coaches overlooked the contribution of DMac
