Hawthorn’s wasn’t that hard for us to counter: disrupt their ball movement out of defence and then capitalise on turnovers.
Carlton’s set up is stranger and trickier, but the wheels are going to come off whenever Cripps is injured: no club in the league is more dependent on a single player.
The Pies set up didn’t look all that unusual against us. They just played better than we did that night.
