Billings is just about ready and Clark can't be too far off. Both may need a game in the VFL though.
There doesn’t seem any urgent need to rush anyone back in while we’re winning.

If Billings is playing for Sandy today, lets see how he is going. NWM looks to need a rest.

Long will not get reported unless GWS list Hill as concussed. GWS cannot afford to be without Hill for a week so will not declare concussion.

Not a chance in hell Butler will get dropped. Higgins and our forward structure works because of Butler's work rate of chasing and tackling.

OUT: Hayes (ACL) Marshall (Corkie - managed) Windhager (unlucky)

IN: Ryder Heath Jones

For those who can get to training I'd be interested to see if Heath structures up in our forward 50.

Time for a rest mate.

NVM got low AF ranking points, i think he got 7-8 touches.
Him out too
I suppose Butler'outstanding work against the Suns the previous week accounts for nothing in your view? W-M I agree, tougher bodies needed against Port.

In: Ryder, Jones, Leinert
Out Hayes, ? , Highmore

I think we can get more from Highmore than Leinert

Who goes out for Jones ?
It’s one of WIndy and NWM I think that makes way.

Wood doesnt do enough in my view but really the most like for like is Sharman - who just can’t find it at the the moment. So Wood probably stays.

Depends on what you call hot. It's been raining fairly steadily for a week and rain/showers are predicted for next week too.

Weather Bureau: SATURDAY: Min 22 Max 30, Shower or two (50% chance - 0 to 3 mm), Partly cloudy. Winds south-easterly 15 to 25 km/h.

How can you say Sharman can’t find it at the moment? He kicked 3 goals yesterday. 👀👀😩😩🤪🤪

I would like to see Campbell given a chance if Marshall doesn’t recover in time. We need to see what the bloke can do. He has looked good at a lower level (pre-season and VFL).

It seems like it will be a touch wet up there so I'll revise my INs & OUTs, thinking back to Campbell's form in wet conditions at TB Oval - he's a mountain, hard to move so I'd play him instead of Heath (his time will come, sooner than later)

OUT: Hayes (ACL), Marshall (Thigh / Managed)

IN: Ryder, Campbell

Medi-Sub: still Lienert

I am not sure Cairns is ideal for Jone's return. Perhaps keep his powder dry for the Dees. Windhager goes OK in wet conditions so may thrive in Cairns.

If we want Marshall to be a force for the rest of the season, he needs to be rested this week, it's just crazy to risk more serious damage. Paddy back in, and give Heath a run maybe. Dunno

Ins: Ryder, Jones, Byrnes
Outs: Hayes, Wood (managed), Windhager (rest)

Wood looked really fatigued in Friday nights game. I think with his hamstring and soft tissue injury history he could do with a weeks rest. Play Nasiah for another week and then rest him and bring back Wood against Melbourne. Hopefully Billings can roll out for Sandi next weekend and be ready for a call up the week later.

NB: Ratts like Windhager, give Byrnes midfield minutes.

Disagree on NWM. We hardly used him all game because there were so many stoppages and we could hardly get it to the outside. But whenever we did he continued his great form and doesn't look out of place at all. A new game against new opposition in PA will probably open things up a bit. It is his first season though so a rest isn't the worst thing to happen.
NWM is already being looked after on game days...only had around 60% TOG...last week 73%, he is also being looked after at training.

These promising young stars learn by doing.

Playing on the best, making mistakes, making great plays, being complete part of the journey.

Windhager and NWM look exciting as. There will be ups & downs but unless injured, go you good things!

I think it’s time for Bytel to come in for Windy

Watch the Zebra's match. Then the Manuka game. Unless you are related to J. Bytel it's Windhager by length of the straight.

Ryder was always going to miss Canberra - to be tight to play Port Adelaide

So one change with Ryder replacing Hayes (who replaced Ryder)

Jones should be assessed thru the week

It is noted that Owens was rested this week - which would would indicate that the work loads of our younger brigade are being carefully monitored

Both Kyle and Peris have also been rested over recent rounds

The knock on Wood at North Melbourne was his injury record - so maybe also monitored

That said, with 5 on the trot there will be a focus on keeping changes to the absolute minimum

Confidence and consistency rate

It is pleasing to see those responding at VFL level - against the previously unbeaten GWS

Kent is on 99 AFL games

Owens rested??? I thought he played.

Kent can stay on 99. Can we give any of his games to Roberton? Maybe Hamill?

If Bytel cannot be BOG for Sandy, he can stay there.

I’d rest NWM before Windy
Thought Windy looked good late for us and had impact
NWM needs a rest and looked troubled by the contact to me
NWM out for Jones
Also gives us another mid rotation
