Re: Favourite players past and present
Mine started with Barks. Then Plugger and Cuz. Banger through the 90s and then the modern day I loved Lenny. In the 80s I loved Silvio Foschini for the 5 minutes he played for us! I used to yell out “Hi Ho Silvio”!

Re: Favourite players past and present
As a lad started with 4 (Breen), moved to 5 (Joffa), then 35 (Harves).
No favourites since but liked a couple underrated guys such as Pekin, Keogh, Max, Voss, Powell.
Like Wilkie and excited by how good King could be

Re: Favourite players past and present
George Young, Gary Sidebottom, Trevor Barker, Plugger, Gilbert McAdam, Nicky Winmar
Stewy Loewe, Robert Harvey, G Train, Lenny, Kosi, Chips, and BJ
From the current squad I’ve been a big fan of our number 9 since he first started with us
The guys who are super important to our team right now (and that I like) are RoMa, Timmy and Jimmy

Re: Favourite players past and present
I've had a good think about this...Steven Baker
Talk about ruthless.
You can't win a flag without a Stevie Baker...or in our case...come as damn close as it gets.

Re: Favourite players past and present
Past -many but my top six in no particular order
Baldock, Stewart, Barker, Plugger, Harvey, Riewoldt (surprised by the lack of love for Harvs and Roo here, maybe my two favourites)
Followed closely by Winmar, Milne, Gehrig, Dal Santo, Hayes, Loewe, Howell
Current- Sinclair (from day one, not like some of those now jumping on the bandwagon), Steele and Marshall (for his potential to become an absolute star, not there yet).

Re: Favourite players past and present
Tuddenham once told me that Bingley walked up to him at the start of the 1966 grannie and spat in his face.
Don't know if I believed him at the time as I had previously told Tuddy that IMHFO, Bingley's performance on him in that game, was one reason we had won.
Tuddenham had torn us a new one in the 2nd Semi but was really subdued in the Grannie. He wasn't happy with my opinion though, so what he said might have been designed to deflate me .
Bingley was a hot head and tough as an old boot. He once decked an opposing player whilst they were all lined up for the national anthem in a NTFA V NWFU match.

Re: Favourite players past and present
The old - Eric Guy, Big Carl, the Doc, Stewart, Howell
The not so old - Barks, Joffa, Cuz
The new Hayes, Roo, Marshall, Steele, Sinclair

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Favourite players past and present
Jack Steele is my favourite current player
Would have to rate Neil Elvis Winmar as my all time favourite
Robert Harvey, Lenny Hayes and Nick Riewoldt very close behind
