Line up this week,

Post: # 2019424Post older saint »

Unfortunately the outs are easy due to injury:

- King, Ross, Cordy

the fitness of this out form last week is the big ?
Battle (if passes protocol) comes in for Cordy
Hill and Higgins if fit need to come in. Will change the balance however but could push Wood to high half forward.
Phillipou could perhaps be used as the sub and Clark in

If one of Higgins or Hill not ready then Bytel for Ross - like for like.

B: Stocker, Howard, Wilkie
HB: NWM, Battle, Webster
C: Hill (?), Steele, Billings
HF: Higgins(?) , Sharman, Wood
F: Butler, Caminiti, Owens
Foll: Marshall, Crouch, Gresh
Int: Clark, Windy, Jones, Brynes

Sub Phillipou

Big call ,saintbob. If Heath plays I'll dip my lid to you, but I suspect Sharman will stay in.

I'd like to see Heath get a go, we don't want Collins and Ballard having a field day as intercept defenders.

It's like our coaches are clueless when an Intercept defender goes on a markathon.

Hi guys. This is stevie. I had to reregister as some glitch blocked me from logging in.

Just wanna say that it will be warm at kickoff on Saturday. 22/23 degrees. The days have been brilliant this week, though cold nights and early morning. No wind and the boys will feel the sun. It won’t be hot but they will be sweating. I’ll be at the game with my son so hope to meet a few of you finally lol

It is so easy to have a markathon when forwards are so lazy they allow opposition defenders to stand in front them.
How often do you see a kick go longer than the kicker intended.
BE IN FRONT, PLAY IN FRONT stop cheating hoping the ball will miraculously come over the back.

Its obvious, Hill, Battle, Higgins and Clark will come in. King, Ross and Cordy injured. Billings or Byrnes will be dropped and one of them will be the Sub.

Ins: Clark, Battle, Hill, Higgins, Byrnes.

Outs: Cordy, Billings, Ross, Pou, King.

I'd like to see Ronnie named in the 22 and possibly Pou as the sub

Actually...I'd like Bytel named in the starting line up if either Hill or Higgins aren't available.

I walked the dog this arve at 230. It was 23 degrees. The sun was warm on my back. Only a 15 minute walk but was just starting to get a faint sweat when I got home. Hopefully it won’t affect the boys too much on Saturday. At least later in the arve the sun will be behind the main stand at Metricon

We the don't have many options, we need to win to make finals. Last week despite the loss we played well, apart from kicking at goal & the connection with the Forward line. If we move the ball fast and lower the eyes we're in with a chance.

I think we need a big experienced body forward to stop a repeat of the May/Sicily disasters. Caminiti is going to be good, but he’s just a kid …persevere.

How far off is Hayes?

When does the club release the weekly injury reports?

I was hoping all 3 x (Battle, Higgins & Hill) that missed last week might be ok this week?

Outs: Billings broken thumb, Ross hamstring, King shoulder & Cordy concussion.

Ins: We need another tall to play forward so will include one of Heath, Hayes or Campbell. Then Byrnes, Battle, Higgins & Hill.

Sub: Clark

Saint named for debut
ST KILDA's Jack Peris will make his AFL debut against Gold Coast on Saturday.

A Category B rookie selection via the Saints' Next Generation Academy in 2021, Peris will play his first AFL game in round 18.

The son of Olympic gold medallist Nova Peris, Jack has kicked at least one goal in each of his past three VFL games for Sandringham.

Will be interested to see how he goes. I would think he'd be the fastest player in the AFL.

Looking forward to watching this kid in the big time. Hope he does well because we have some severely critical supporters amid our ranks

Actually I may used the term supporters a little flippantly
