We were very impressive early and continued the hard-at-it style from recent weeks.
Once we skipped 4 goals clear in the 3rd quarter our pressure fell away. I think maybe the girls thought they were over the line. Hawks came strongly and suddenly we were only 8 points up, into the wind with plenty of time left.
To the girls’ credit we shut it down ( much like the last quarter last week) and got the win.
Devastating for Chiocci. At 34 I fear that might be her career.
Jaimee Lambert is proving to be recruit of the year.
