Last weeks debacle against Hawthorn

Post: # 2060387Post Sainter_Dad »

Does not look so bad now - see Port Adelaide

However - interesting Piece of Commentary - should be communicated to St Kilda - "Just get it going forward".

That they did - 0:03 seconds to go - but seriously - after last weeks game I fully expected Hawthorn to lose by 10 goals - it was only their lack of experience (we also suffer from this) that saw them try and close down a 28 point lead for a whole quarter.

Lost to Geelong at Geelong by not much they won 7 in a row.
List to Essendon by a late goal they’re second.

What I found interesting was that the last quarter went 35+ mins
Only 4 goals were kicked by Port, 2 of them in the last minute.
Checking the stats there was 84 ruck contests for the match , in our match 85 , similar amount of scores
Yet our match went 110 minutes compared to this match 122 .
Port were coming and I'm just thinking the timekeeper was keeping every second available for them

Too much of a conspiracy theory - timekeeper is an AFL employee

There used to be two time-keepers when I was a lad. One from each side with both of them having hands on the clock pause button.

Interesting all right, if not downright meddling.

No CT , just wondering 🤔
I mean I'm sure Afl have preferred outcomes .
One being SA having either or both teams in the finals each year .
