saynta you are being a bit harsh on Cuddles there - remember he didn’t do a full preseason of coaching. The sedative anesthetic for his hip operation may have impacted on his ability to comprehend the game plan set up by Boris, Harves & BJ?? Just give him a few more games observing Batchelor at Sandi & he might come good. I know it’s hard, we must hold onto the mantra of - In Ross We Trust

PS I agree on your other selections 😇

Long trip back from Perth especially playing on a hard deck

Crouch & Clark in as inside mids free up Steele & Windhager

Higgins back gives a much needed zip in the forward line

Very likely we see back a rested Ross, Membrey & Stocker

Pou, Collard, Paton, Jones, Sharman & Bonner all out

Wilkie Howard Webster
Wanga Battle Sinclair
Wood Steele Wilson
Owens King Henry
Higgins Caminiti Membrey
Marshall Crouch Windhager

Ross Clark Hill Dow ..... Stocker (sub)

My changes for Dees game?
I had a 4-way Multi, $20 to pay $391
1. Freo leading at qtr time
2. Freo wins
3. Total Game Points <149.5
4. Fyfe with at least one goal

Easy money but Fyfe ruined it

My change:
Same as above except Fritsch for 2 goals

Webster, Howard, Wilkie
Sinclair, Battle, Milera

Marshall, Steele, Crouch, Windhager

Wood, Hill

Wilson, Hammer, Henry
Higgins, King, Owens

Dow, Stocker, Clark, Ross

Sub: Garcia

In: Higgins, Crouch, Stocker, Clark, Ross, Garcia

Out: Collard, Jones, Paton, Sharman, Bonner, Pou

Bonner probably survives though and we have one less inclusion.

In: Higgins, Sebby, Skunk and Clark

I'd like to see both Lance boy and Coops play another game in the seniors. It's pointless bringing them in for just 1 game ...but we know what will probably happen

I’d like to “see” Collard playing in the seniors. In 1.5 games, I haven’t noticed him yet. And, for that matter, I’ve barely noticed him playing for the Zebs: except when he lost a game by giving away a 50.

Drop every midfielder that got beaten in the last two games, tell the senior players to stop fumbling and dropping marks that they should be taking..that includes Max.

Bonner probably survives though and we have one less inclusion.

Just to add some logic here.

Higgins takes Collards spot: I don't think Collard is AFL fit yet and as annoying as Missy missing shots at goal can be, we've clearly missed him and Butler.

Crouch takes Jones spot: significant upgrade which us self explanatory.

Stocker takes Paton: Paton is not as versatile as Stocker who has been a solid contributor for us all year.

Clark takes Sharman spot: no room for Sharman in the forward line and Clark reinforces our weak midfield.

Ross take Bonners spot: Bonner turns over the footy too much. With a reinforced midfield we have too many half back flanks and Bonner is our weakest. Sinclair to play a full game back in the backline.

Garcia takes Pou: Garcia brings energy, tackles and find the ball. Good sub option and he has earned it.

Maybe if he can light it up in VFL. Maybe.

It is a gutsy game plan going in with Roma as the only midfielder. It should open the game up though having only 13 on the field.

Out: Sharman (too passive), Collard (too green), Jones (too erratic), Paton (too limited), Howard (too loose)

In: Clark Higgins Membrey Ross Cordy

Pity Crouch isn't quite ready yet

Give Billings a run.

With our injury list at a minimum we need to be rotating the kids through.

Keeler, Hotton, Allison, McLennan, Heath - should each get a block of 3 games over the next 10.

Collard and Hastie 2 games over the next 10

Pou a block in the VFL, potentially Wilson pending form.

Can Billings play for Melbourne this week considering we are paying half his wage? Like a half loan

In soccer a player out on loan can't play against the team loaning him out

Let's get the kids in and get a good look at them, we've seen what Ross, King and Membrey have to offer

There's a few in your list there that I suspect have already had their papers stamped and so on that basis why would you waste giving them an AFL game if it's become very obvious a player is very average at VFL and no chance of making it at AFL?

We have to accept that an AFL program is capable of filtering decision making at the VFL level. A significant amount of players have spent many a year on an AFL list but not been able to prove they can play at the level and subsequently cut before even getting a debut.

Allison and Heath are the obvious examples here, but who knows, they might be capable of an extremely late run at it but sheez they are quickly running out of runaway.
