Saints over the next 3 years.
Lookinh ahead from this season it is clear our team needs some fresh players. A replacement for Max and Fraser is critical, as is having at least 2 A class midfielders with pace. I would also like to see a hard nosed forward developped to replace Hamill who we have missed soooo much.
Lets hope we can develop some of these internally and recruit well this year!

Watts potential replacement for FG
now gwilt was exposed badly as then no.1 and no.2 defender.
fast foward with fisher, goddard and maguire under 25 and rocking gwilt slips in as the no.3/4 defender = looks good.
I can't see why in 3 years time our defence wouldn't be:
Gwilt/l fisher Fisher Allen/Attard
Gram Maguire Goddard
also given 3 years of draft picks one or two coming through in their early 20s as the next generation of defenders?

Players who I would compare with Hamill are D.Chick, L.Hodge, C.Mooney.
Of course they are all different it their own way but have a common thread..hard at it and players around them know they are there (on both teams). I know what it's like playing along or against someone who just smashes opponents it's morale boosting (or quite scary sometimes!!!)
Our forwards (see Nick.R) need a player of this mould around them. Milne doesn't strike fear in opponents, I'm certain of that.
