Did it strike anyone else that this was a very poor crowd? Have to be our worst for the year? Thats what roos would get against interstate teams!!

Worst crowd since '03 for the Saints ...

Even the Pies only draw 40k against the Dockers ... so for us to draw 25k is a reasonble effort.

Not many thought we would play the way we did either.

I would hope for at least 30k this Friday night though.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

We've had a few poorly attended games lately.........

There are way too many fair weather footy supporters selectively following the game,it makes it hard for All Clubs.........

:P

Expected 25-30k, however cant really complain, the atmosphere was still pretty good.

Tipping at least 35k this friday night.

24k is NOT a reasonable effort. Its a disgrace.

yep the crowd was poor, the only reason i liked it was 'cause it was virtually dead silence whenever freo kicked a goal, just the way it should be. :D

Let's look at the positives.

The way we played has probably added an extra 5-7,000 for next friday !!

Can't blame people when Ross Lyon creates such an insanely dull brand of football to watch.

Not all fans are total diehards who'll turn up no matter what.

From memory, in Round 21 2004 we played Freo at night (saturday) and we got 30,000 at TD - and that's when we were firmly in the eight!

So 24K isn't that pathetic, but probably 2 or 3K short of expectations.

Needless to say we would've posted a loss on a such a small gate.

No St Kilda home game should ever draw under 30,000.

Especially when we're shooting for a spot in the eight.

We've got a great core support, but beyond that, there's a massive bandwagon following.

How many members do you think we have?????? The majority of the crowd were Sainters! Personally I thought it was a reasonable effort and we made the noise when it counted! I'd like to think this Fridays crowd will be as solid as it's ever going to get - we really need to make it OUR stadium and send those freaking Eagles packing!!!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

iv missed two victorian games this season:

Round 1 vs Melbourne - Because of School Camp...earnt me a detention for using my phone for accessing scores

Round 10 vs Geelong - Was my stepmums birthday...i was forced to go...and she wonders why she didnt recieve a present from me

saturdays crowd number was poor but im not complaining...thanks to those reserved seat members who decided not to go, meant we got to go and sit with a family i know who has seats in there...atmosphere in there was terrific

Was in reference to your comment last week about cheap flights from Melb. to Sydney that some people were offended by. Was just a good comeback by Solar, don't think he was really concerned whether you were there or not, it was just an opportunity for some light comedy. :D

Right...

So what was the 'good' comeback in reference too, again? Like, I can't see how an away game in Sydney can be compared to a home game in Melbourne?

Not a criticism; just genuinely curious :)

Umpires are infuriating me so much that I walked out of the Noth game just after 1/4 time...50% of the frees pulled they could pay a thousand of the same. Something has to be done (umps advisor must go) to bring back game control to the players. I'm finding it increasingly harder to watch the game with self control...why are they allowed to fcckkkk up the game????

Haven't missed a game myself since late 2002 at PP, ironically Vs Freo, it was my Grandmothers birthday.

Crowd was pretty low, but look at what we were competing with, all the neutrals would have gone to Carltank Vs Essendscum.
