Gram would be more effective if he took the first option
The 5th option master. Gram gets the ball enough, he's got the speed. But why does he dodge all the time and never goes the first option? His incessant dodging, drawing players to him then dodging them again is inefficient football. If he just went the first option we'd move the ball faster and catch opposition teams unaware more often.
He's one of our few players who can actually burst away from static contests from a handball.
Pre-emptive thanks to the people who will say this
brown-coat you're a troll
Gram is perfect
Gram is a superstar

Your a gun brown coat. You more often than not post with truth, just with a negative spin that many can't handle.
I know exactly what you mean. In fact I was just watching the replay that I taped and Gram is at the centre bounce. Obtains possession, refuses the handpass to Lenny, dodges a player, is tackled and a free kick against is awarded.
It all amounts to selfishness. He is a selfish player at the moment, more willing to be brilliant himself, that be competitive for the team. Its been a characteristic of his for a while. I hope he shakes it.

Agree. And he has a few mates on this as well.

I think he is a natural attacking player, who's first reaction is to move the ball forward, not do dinky sideways things. The trouble being that when he comes out of defence - same as any of our running defenders, there are no forwards making decent options..
Our forwards don't lead quick or hard enough to provide real options. Far too many times, the player coming down the ground has a small amount of time to dispose of the ball and in this time frame, the forwards needed to have gone on the lead and present themselves.
I reckon Gram is expecting this to happen, but as we have a shocking forward line, it doesn't happen, and Gram (and others) hold on to the ball a bit longer and are forced in to messy disposals.
I think our forward line coach needs the boot.

From what I have seen at a lot of the games this season it seems our forwards flood so far into our backline that when we finally manage to get the turn over and move it out we have no forwards to kick to because they are all still inside our defensive 50. Our players sometimes have no other option than to hold the ball and run or kick sideways which both almost always end up ineffective.
I reckon you could direct this criticism to the entire team.
Or should I say the coach?
Indecision is the only aspect of the gameplan the players have mastered.
Gram is definately one of the most frustration though. As I've said before, players receiving the ball in the midfield should be predictable. Gram isn't.

Gram was more effective two years ago when he ran the lines, carrying the ball and delivered long accurate passes.
His injuries seem to prevent him from doing this lately.
Though he does seem to be bouncing it a bit more lately.
And he is getting more length in his kicks.
But the old pace and disposal accuracy is still lacking.
