What would you give for a flag

Post: # 623151Post saintly_safes »

I was talking to a mate of mine yesterday about, what is the most important things in your life . He's not a football person & wouldn't know a drop punt from a torpedo. Of course my family then the saints, my guitars, then he interupted me & said you care more about the saints than you do about your guitars. I then told him that I would trade my entire collection for a saints flag (around $20,000) he just thinks i'm totally insane. What would you trade for a saints flag , would love to hear some feedback.

This is a really hard question to answer.
I grew up with mates who barracked for Carlscum, Essendung, North, Hawks and they all s*** me to tears. They have seen the cup lifted in their life time, Im 43 and havent. They have all said they'd like Lockett or Stewie or Harv's. I havent said i'd like any or thiers. Ive always been a happy bloke who enjoys our victories over them (read love, gloat, celebrate), when they beat us they just get on with it.
They respect our team, i fu#ken hate there's.
I know one day it will come, then I'll still be the bloke I am, except I'll be pissed for a week, then I'll get on with it.
I spose I'll give a week maybe two of memory and brain cells so I'll have to buy every DVD, Tshirt, Cup, Mug, Hat, Poster that we produce, that be a bout a grand of stuff.
So 2 weeks of piss drinking and one grand of merchandise= $3500
The way we are playing at the moment add CPI= $6000

Yeah Id give up that...............in a heart beat

Go Saints

Followed Saints since '71
Sir Robert Harvey was my favorite player
Stewie Lowe and Plugger before that.
Loved watching Rooey and Jack Steven
Now looking forward to the future

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, but most just say " What the f#&k happened!".
