From memory, and I read more transcripts than actually participated in chats, the old format was very much a general question type situation with funniest player, who are your mates at the club, how are the injured players etc being the questions which were asked every week.

Under that system, and I think it was accessed through the Club site, the players were rostered in alphabetical order to chat most Wednesday nights. I think it was designed to be more entertaining than "football informative" and because it is on the internet you don't reallly know who you are talking to, do you??
