well, it was always going to be a tough game. i got there at about 12.30pm to help set up the bbq and all, to find about 12 'Nicks' already there setting up and having a chat. by 1pm I was starting to get a bit worried, still the only saint there, and had the question asked by about 25 different people if we are turning up. Eventually some guys started to rock up, but not enough for a team. by 2pm we only had about 11 players and slowly made our way up to 15 by about 2.10, then had to borrow players. very poor effort by the people who said they would show but didn’t, except the ones that gave me warning.
the game started off well as we kicked the first 2 in about 10 mins, then i went off with a deadly injury and we started to lose

never got back in front as of about the 15th minute mark of the first.
At 3 qtr time it looked as though it was all over as we were 4 goals down and didn’t look like a threat to them. Joffa put the gold jacket on with about 8 mins to go while they were a good 5 goals up.
The after match BBQ was amazing, there was cans of drink, burgers, snags, salad, potatoes...it was just brilliant, well done to the collingwood ladies who cooked everything for us.
That’s pretty much how the day went, i think it was 5 goals in the end, but in a way I would rather lose by 5 goals and make it close than win by 220 like we did last time.
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
