Heard on sen that GArdiner could be out of Stklida Team. Any confirmations?

I confirm that he will play since your source saying otherwise is SEN.

I heard that on Triple J earlier.

Eek. He was having a lot of work done on his legs last week. May be purely precautionary. With Edwards and VB out we may feel more comfortable dropping him, specially with King back and their lack of decent rucks...

Still...if it's true, hopefully just to rest him.

Someone said his hammy was being iced at training wednesday. Thought that sounded a bit dodgy at the time

I think when people quote stuff from SEN they should stipulate where from at SEN.

a commentator?
News report
or rumor file

Obvious a news report it would have a lot merit behind and commentator makes it a possibility but from the rumor file makes it absolutely worthless.

Motion passed. When referring to SEN, please state if it's a presenter/reporter or caller putting the information out there.

A lot of talkback gets passed off as "being on SEN".

We all do some people ring up SEN and say some ludicrous things (like everytime the saints have a big game someone rings up and say he is out), where in SEN it comes from is important if it was a commentator has a lot more credance than a random person that rings up with wishful thiking.

Anyone with any common sense...for as already posted by others one can assess how accurate the "mention" was by the credibility of the source.

Whether the source was "right' or not is irrelevant to your statement.

As already asked who "mentioned" it... a caller.... a panelist.....a guest medico...Ross Lyon?

No idea if he is playing or not, but worth noting that on Thursday McEvoy was dropped out of the team not even in the squad.

Last night however when the final team was announced he was all of a sudden listed as an emergency.

My guess would be that Gardiner must be at least under an injury cloud, why else would they bring McEvoy into the 25?

I have no problem with Wolfpak starting this thread, but I agree with sRs...

If you are going to start up a thread please state just who mentioned it...

Yes Wolfpak, you heard it on SEN, but who actually stated it???

Even if he's right about Gardy, he sounds like a jibberer.

mcEvoy as stated above

given the work done on his legs etc during the last quarter of the game last week- I mentioned to someone post game I thought Big ben may get a couple more games if they rest  Gardi in the lead up to the finals
it also give Ben more big game time and experience.

If he doesn't play today he will be badly missed. Not only is his ruck work 2nd to none at the moment but he also pushes forward AND is an excellent kick for goal. Adelaide is $3.25 at the moment, which must be the best bet this year. I reckon it's almost even money, all things considered. Our defences are on a par, our midfield is better (or was before Luke Ball was omitted) and our forwards are better. BUT, they kick slightly better than we do. I realise that one result of winning 15 straight is that the "it's got to happen sooner or later" syndrome can out weigh more cerebral analysis. But there you have it.

Cheers for that.
