Since our odyssey for a premiership began (arguably since 2003), it is interesting to note that this will not only be our fourth top four finish in six seasons, but the first time we technically have a home qualifying final and also the first time we will start as favorites; though that could easily change!
See what I mean, pointless but intriguing!
Meaningless, but interesting!

Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

I also find this meaningless, but interesting, at this link -

It includes lines like "There was one asset, however, that St Kilda possessed in extraordinary abundance: seabirds"
and mentions that in Scotland, Aug 29 was, ahem, St Kilda Day !

Yes and I'm sure that we all see the irony that the one time when we finish first (or second) there is no home state advantage against teams 3 and 4 unlike 2004 and 2005. Where are interstate clubs when you need them? If we lose this week then we could play Adelaide in a Semi Final, which would be here (them with a longer break though), not my preferred scenario however.

Note that in that time we've won 3/9 finals.SydneySainter wrote:Since our odyssey for a premiership began (arguably since 2003), it is interesting to note that this will not only be our fourth top four finish in six seasons, but the first time we technically have a home qualifying final and also the first time we will start as favorites; though that could easily change!
- Against Sydney at the MCG.
- Against Adelaide in Adelaide.
- Against Collingwood at the MCG.
The losses:
- Against Brisbane at the Gabba.
- Against Port Adelaide in Adelaide.
- Against Sydney at the MCG.
- Against Melbourne at the MCG.
- Against Geelong at the MCG.
- Against Hawthorn at the MCG.
Probably not an amazing record, that one. Let's hope it improves to 6/12 this year.
