Voss trading.....

Post: # 844690Post Joffa Burns »

A caller on 3AW last night suggested Voss had confused the Lions with his Supercoach team due to the amount of trades this season.

I can't remember a team trading like this since St.Kilda in 2000 added about nine players to the list.

I personally can't see it working for the Lions as apart from Fev they have picked up no quality and the Fev / Brown forward structure partnership may take a couple of years to work out if it does at all.

No doubt he is having a crack....

I think he has an overinflated opinion about where the Lions are at.

He has a hard-on and a cheque book and it's a dangerous combination.

He clearly thinks they're close. He kinda reminds me of someone trying to win poker by going hard in the first few hands.

It will either pay off in a big way or fail spectacularly.

Very hit-and-miss approach!

He'd be hoping Brown and Fev can work in unison like Brown and Bradshaw, Fev a more imposing presence then Bradshaw though, would probably expect to be the main man.

They went with staker and buchanan because no one else scores for the Lions apart from those two guys, Sherman was 3rd highest and he is a mid, no 3rd or 4th forward option so they filled a neish.

Not to bad recruiting by the Brions I don't reckon.

I can't wait to see him move Fev to CHB the way they used to do with Bradshaw when things got out of control LOL

Will be like the good old days of Gherig on Fev :)

Well to be honest i thought he looked like he could be a good coach.... until trade week. He's picked up 25/6/7 year old duds like Staker, Buchanan & Raines & now X. I don't see how that will bring him up next year at all.

Give him a break hes just a boy in a lolly shop.

Voss has just added 2 slabs of Crownies to the fev deal and it might just seal it.

most people here were writing him off twelve months ago as a joke
but I think he had the lions punching above their weight in '09.
Im not sure if the Bradshaw trade will have a negative effect on the team, but Fev is going to be a handy inclusion.
