So unless I’m mistaken, at the end of the 2016 season, we swapped a first round pick with Hawthorn that netted us Coffield, Battle and Long. We also picked up Steele for a future second round pick, and drafted Rowan Marshall as a rookie. That is unbelievable.

I think that Rowan has become so good that if you re-do the 2016 draft he goes top 10.

Thank you Hawthorn.
And while some people say how could our recruiters overlook this player or that player, just remember every club overlooked Marshall, Wilkie and Sinclair. All rookie picks.

Rowan Marshall Rookie draft pick 10

Who would you take, over Marshall, from that list?

Marshall may be the best of the lot, in the end.

2016 draft was an absolute goldmine.

FWIW, the last photo in that article is a ripper. Marketing Department take note.

Agree, would you trade Marshall for any one of those players?

Not a chance!

Seaford was a disaster. It was akin being based in Afghanistan and moving to Monaco.

Part of the reason we are back in the finals and a club players want to come to and stay at is because of RSEA Park Moorabbin.
