The Report a couple of years ago, when Long was standing still and braced for a collision in the course of the game, has impacted on Ben’s confidence

Today we saw the full effect of the targeting of him by Umpires and the impact it has had on him and his confidence to compete

I’ve been pumping this guy up for ages and couldn’t believe how slow many on here were willing to back him

I had a perfect view of the incident, the umpires would be assuming they saw what didn't happen. It was high, it was late, it was a clenched fist and no contact was made with it. If there had been contact the bloke would still be snoring.

Should have been a 50m penalty, but no. Review and withdraw the charge.

They never back peddled from that, so I’m not sure. But, yes, Long doesn’t have a good record.

I was incredibly impressed with his game. His marking was spectacular and showed a side of him that I hadn’t really seen before,

If it’s not withdrawn and he gets a suspension, the club should challenge it to the max. And use counsel that knows what they’re doing this time!
