I hope the Saints are watching this, but of course, they are taking a break now..so probably playing gold, fishing or down the pub. Or Vegas? I wonder how many Saints are going to Vegas. Bali? Seriously. I bet some are over there.

This is Lyons first year at the helm of a largely B grade group.

It was always going to have significant ups and downs.

I’m still effing pissed about last weeks disaster, not just because we lost to a team that we should easily be 6 goals better than, but also because we’re repeating the exact same script we did last season.

We’re on track for the second half of the season being a complete disaster, unless the playing group is reprogrammed.

What really pisses me off is that it’s been 12 years of being in footy wilderness and we’re still at best, a bottom 10 team.

Almost a decade of an administration that promised greatest (two flags by now) and delivered two failed rebuilds, no finals (except the COVID stopgap year) arguably the worst use of a 1st pick, a 5 year contract to a midfielder well past his prime and a needless extension of two contracts for underperforming coaches.

Experienced players who haven't performed or aren't performing need to just stay in the reserves I think now. They can help to support the youth at Sandringham, and hopefully help them to win a few games.
We still have players getting games off reputations and they are the same ones who don't stand up when the pressure is on.
The Hawthorn loss speaks for itself really.
