David Hille?

Post: # 452270Post saintluke »

Over at BomberBlitz many a person rekon we want David Hille, however I dont remeber such thoughts appearing here on saintsational...

Does anyone know if we are seriously seeking him, and if so does anyone actually want him, and what would we want to give up for him? They also mention (as well as BF, RWO & Eagles flying high) that we want to trade Joey???

I think we went after him 2 or so years ago, and Jeff White, and Dean Cox before he was a gun.

wouldnt touch Hille with a barge pole.

Useless and a Essendon have tried everything - including making him captain - to get him moderately useful and hes not up to it.

bit better than Rix is all I have him down as.

Just about every ruckmen in the whole league has been linked with us so I guess Hille's probably on that list. But he's not on my actual list of ruckmen I want.

He is a better ruck option than anything we've got (except for a fit and firing Gardiner), but he isn't the kind of ruckman that will help you move up the ladder. He might finish with 12 disposals and 22 hitouts as the number one ruckman as opposed to Rix's 8 disposals and 18 hitouts. If we go after a ruckman it should be someone capable of playing far better footy than Rix or Blake.

Not nearly good enough for the price he would demand

Trade Joey???

No way...we need fast good mids even more than another ruckman.

Joey is just hitting his peak!!!

would not even consider Hille - Sheedy was mighty dissapointed with his efforts this season and he exerts NO infleunce on a game at all.

Id rather play Brooks if that were the option.

A slightly more talented version of Rix.

Hille is a bit undersized and too stocky to be an effective tap ruckman, and doesn't hurt you enough with the footy around the ground.

His price would be too high, and IMO we could get Jolly for a similar price.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
