Round 11 2008 what will our W-L be?

Post: # 511121Post RBnW »

This year we have 9 of the first 11 games at Telstra Dome...our home ground :D :D .....where should we be after 11 rounds this year :?: ....
We have Bulldogs twice, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond and Melbourne so there is 6 wins...... :) I think we can beat Sydney first up and Brisbane away...so thats 8... 8-)
My thinking is that we can be 8 and 3 or 9 and 2.....after 11 rounds... :o
Other games are Cats and Pies at Telstra Dome and Port away....Its a real possibility that we could be at this W L level by round 11...
What a start that would be.....

Saturday, Mar 22 (Sat Night) Sydney Telstra Dome Home 7:10 pm
Saturday, Mar 29 (Sat Night) Carlton Telstra Dome Home 7:10 pm
Friday, Apr 04 (Fri Night) Western Bulldogs Telstra Dome Away 7:40 pm
Saturday, Apr 12 (Sat Aft) Geelong Telstra Dome Home 2:10 pm
Friday, Apr 18 (Fri Night) Essendon Telstra Dome Home 7:40 pm
Saturday, Apr 26 (Sat Night) Port Adelaide AAMI Stadium Away 7:10 pm
Saturday, May 03 (Sat Night) Richmond Telstra Dome Away 7:10 pm
Friday, May 16 (Fri Night) Collingwood Telstra Dome Home 7:40 pm
Sunday, May 25 (Sun) Brisbane Lions Gabba Away 1:10 pm
Sunday, Jun 01 (Sun) Melbourne Telstra Dome Home 2:10 pm
Sunday, Jun 08 (Sun) Western Bulldogs Telstra Dome Home 2:10 pm

Our best is yet
to come......

I'd like to say 8-3 or 7-4 but since 2004 we haven't had a good start to the year, so I'll say we'll be 6-5.

My guess is 7-4. anything above 8 would be excellent, and below 6 poor. Carlton and Essendon are danger games for us. Carlton will be getting themselves up for a huge start to the season and we won't have Baker to stop Judd. Essendon are just a team that seems to go up a gear against us, regardless of who they field on the day.

IMO we need to be 8-3 with our draw, but you can never really tell.

Anything less than 6-5 and we're stuffed.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

7-4/8-3 for me. Need to make the most of this relatively easy first half of the year that we have been given.

We will lose one of the Geelong or Port Adelaide games and win the rest, just mark my words.
That's for a "10 - 1" start to the season, then the real season begins.

Depends on how advanced the pre season is. If hit the ground running then would expect 8-3 ( Coll better at G than Telstra). If not then could be 5-6 and behind the 8 ball.

lions? sunday afternoon at 1pm, in QLD, what are the odds of us winning? the weather will probably be 23 and we will play shocking!
carlton? expect a good first half of the year from them!
essendon? we always struggle against them, and things wont change this year!

Win more than we lose for the first half of the season, then a big run home building up to the finals. :)

we will be 9-2 without doubt... cats are a tough one, and we will loose one of the port or lions games away..

I do not understand this carlton theme that so many are running with.. "good start to the year", "judd in the middle" yada yada... They will be fighting it out for the spoon again, no doubt about it.. Cant wait to tear them to shreds again... Recon it was the main reason Fraser came out of retirement..

they think Judd will do everything for them. For

them its a one man team its not all about Judd

Its called and it is a team effort kruezer Judd and fevola

It might sound good but what are the chances that Kruzer will perform

and what are the chances that Fev will be acurate if ratts wasnt coach

Judd stayed in Perth Fev would most likely be a Saint

Agree, 8-3 would be ideal, but 7-4 is a shyte load better than 2007, and sets us up for a possible top 4 berth.

Remember, we are January Premiers just like the other 15 clubs!!!

EDIT: If we don't beat the beggars, I'll get "PWANED BY JUDD" tattooed onto my rrrs!

I predict a 7-4 start. If things continue going as positive as they are. This pre-season has been better than past ones but its still very early days yet. I predict wins against the swans, bulldogs (twice), tigers, pies (telstra dome is where they struggle) and demons and to win one of the blues, bombers or lions games, most likely the bombers. As for the cats and port, I'll be happy to finish within ten goals of either - that's better than we did against either of them this year.

Saturday, Apr 12 (Sat Aft) Geelong Telstra Dome Home 2:10 pm could be close but we dont have a good record against reighnin premiers
Friday, Apr 18 (Fri Night) Essendon Telstra Dome Home 7:40 pm 3 extra perth fans in the stands , no hird ,no sheeds % boost time !!
Saturday, Apr 26 (Sat Night) Port Adelaide AAMI Stadium Away 7:10 pm our annual spanking in adelaide
Saturday, May 03 (Sat Night) Richmond Telstra Dome Away 7:10 pm % boost game by this stage maybe the nail in the wallace coffin
Friday, May 16 (Fri Night) Collingwood Telstra Dome Home 7:40 pm if this was at the G i would say its a loss but at the dome we should beat the pies

so it should be a strong start to the year

What are the chances that you will make sense?

I think you're trying to say that they will rely solely on Judd, Fevola and Kruezer...even though Kruezer will hardly play in '08...and players like Stevens, Scotland, Simpson, Murphy, Simpson, Fisher, Carazzo, Thornton and Walker might be able to pitch in occasionally. Carlton will have an ok team this year. Not finals material, but I expect them to make a strong push to get out of the bottom four and probably cause some upsets. They certainly look to have a better list than Essendon, Melbourne and Richmond at this stage.

In bold are the games I would expect us to win.

That puts us at 8-3. Our run home is a tough one; anything less than 7-4 puts us well behind the eight ball. The Geelong game is a 50-50, the Brisbane game is a 40-60, the Port game is a 30-70. I believe we will probably snatch at least one of these (possibly two, three unlikely), meaning we could drop one of the bolds at home.

We barely leave the Dome. We have to be 8-3 if we're a top four chance IMO.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
