DUMMITT Brereton !!

Post: # 643854Post Eastern »

Dummitt predicted Collingwood would win by 54 points in Friday's Herald Sun. That makes his prediction WRONG by 88 points. I believe that EVERY saints fan should take every opportunity to remind him of how wrong he was .......AGAIN. The 1st opportunity to do this will be on SEN tomorrow afternoon between 4-5pm. You can ring in or e-mail the Frances Leech (Saints fan) and get him to pass on our "messages" to Dummitt. His e-mail addy is therunhome@sen.com.au

Goes with his comment on how "sad" R.Harvey was at the beginning of the season.

Still, I like Dermies comments. Especially when he gets it wrong :D

Worse still -
On Friday he used "history" - his words - to say the Filth would win.
THis history was that sides that lost in the first week often went on to lose in the 2nd.
Fact - since the 1st v 4th, 2nd vs 3rd first week change to the finals system, 14 of the 16 semis were won by the team that had LOST in the first week (Weagles and Port being the exceptions).
So now its 16 out of 18!
He's a complete tool who thinks his playing record allows him to say anything - never mind the facts, it's Dermot speaking.

lol - did he not look at the "history" that Collingwood haven't beaten a Victorian team in semis since 1990? Or the "history" that they haven't beaten the Saints in a final since before our flag?

Both pieces of crap but at least they are accurate :D :D

That clown also said we didn't have the cattle to make the eight. That was in 1997. We were minor premiers and runners up. I'll say it one more time. Clown.

What an absolute pole smoker he is...the Pies wouldn't have beaten us by anything close to that much in 10 years+!!! Most games between the Saints and the Pies are decided by a handful of points, so how did he think an undermanned, inexperienced bunch of 20 years olds were gonna grow the kahuna's to smash us by 9 goals all of the sudden???

Thank gawd we have 'experts' like Dumby to provide some light relief.

Luckily no one on here picked us to beat Geelong last week.

Dermutt wouldn't be relying on his playing record with Sydney or Collingwood to bolster his reputation or feed his ego but it's those days i remember best....

Funny, I remember him being crunched by an off ball hit in the 1989 GF and then going on to kick three goals. He's not much chop as a commentator, but jeez he was one great footballer.

In fact, second to only our Nick in the marking stakes.

I agree with the first point. But Buckets had them both covered when it comes to marking.

Standing strong marking, yes. But what about running lead, crashing pack and diving forward and the rest?

Gotta love Dermie for some of the comic relief he provides on a rather regular basis, whether it be intended or not :P.

He did also say that Travis Cloke would be the catalyst, and that if he was up then the pies would win....so as inaccurate he was in his prediction, he was correct in his loophole should they lose

I love how Dummit uses words where he doesnt know the meaning, then uses these words not knowing in what context they should be used. Baffles people with his bs.

Thirded.

It's boring and repetitive. Some guys in the media write us off - with good reason - and we prove them wrong.

Great. Let's leave it at that for now.

Save the big-noting for what happens in the next fortnight.

Brereton at it again on SEN. The arrogance is sickening. Thinks we will be beaten by 72 points, conservatively by 42 points. One word.......FOOL!!!

Or a former player encourging his team.

One D Frawley is guilty at times of that as well!

You are kidding, right..? You are comparing Danny Frawley to Dermot Brereton? Come on, get real. Go have a listen to the tool right now and tell me you still have the same thoughts!

If he is to be believed, we only won because Collingwood was so bad. Wasn't anything to do with the way we played. We really had no part in it! Granted Collingwood had a shocker, but that had a lot to do with the fact that we wouldn't 'allow' them to play any better!
