So they should be

Some on here obviously get blinded by run and carry but what is the point if nobody really knows where the ball is going to go?

Would be intersting to see the stats on scoring when gram gets ball from behing the square opposed to the average..
My guess is because of the run and carry opening up the forward line that he would rate high

Every time i think that people like you are right in saying he was poor because of his kicking...

I think back to the game we played without him, how much we missed him and how many inside 50's he gets...

Then i think your an idiot

ok...
6 clangers
4 clearances
8 inside 50s
4 rebound 50s
9 bounces
22 kicks
12 handballs
9 marks

cant see efficiency in the stats

Had some clangers, but owned his mistakes, and turned it around to make a great contribution.

In fact, a lot of players of late have found the ability to push past mistakes and turn their game around....doesn't seem to be a lot of hanging of the head, or going missing after poor starts.

Well said.

Being at the game I did notice also how he made space for himself a LOT.

Put himself into possies where he could have had 40 touches, and some of his clangers I thought were (as per saintbot) just hanging on looking for the right option, especially early on when Richmond was playing 18 in our forward half.

Gram had a lot of the ball , ran hard but butchered like never before. Hit 1 target inside 50 and missed 4 i can think of, without the sprays at goal also.

Cannot question his work rate but gee he wasted the ball badly today.

Gram couldn't hit the side of a barn early in the game...our forwards needed to be 10 foot tall to have a chance with his passing. To his credit he turned it around to be one of our best...had the ball at his mercy in the last quarter...can see both sides of the argument but to pick on him for being ordinary by foot means we are obviously doing most things right...bring on the Cats.

Agreed, but we were ordinary as a whole, and the Tigers had 18 players in our forward half for as long as their fitness could hold up.

I don't say he had a flawless game, but he is certainly an integral part of our game plan, and was well in credit with good vs. bad.

He give us run, breaks the oppo structure up, and if it doesn't always work, well so be it.

I actually wileld him to have a few pings at goal today that he didn't take, not sure why, but maybe playing to a team plan?

He's a bit of a pioneer is Grammy.

Today he introduced to the game a wonderful array of new ball trajectories, of which I have never seen the like.

What's irritating about him is that he is probably the only player in our team who has not improved this year.

Everyone else has seemed to improve areas they were previously lacking in. Pretty obvious that Gram's two weak areas are - contesting the hard ball - disposal. Looks exactly the same player he was a couple of years ago.

With just a little more accuracy and consistency with his kick he'd be an A-grade outside mid instead of the B grade he currently is.

Stats wise compared to his career averages he's actually up on almost all aspects except goals.

Maybe he needs to start backing himself and having a few more shots...

He's topped 30 possessions 5 times in his career - 2 of those have been in the last 3 games.

Yep, he's a shocker and should be immediately sacked.

FFS get a grip.

To say he hasn't improved...

he makes a few disposal errors, but you cannot fault his willingness to move the ball quickly into our forward line.

a crucial player for us. i gave him BOG.
